a question for the cam guys
 

I plan to start steaming cam shows from the studio. I have a small consumer Sony hd cam that has a usb port. which software will I need to run this cam? I will NOT be using streamate. thanks in advance...-bmb

I don't think USB will do that camera justice, the stream will probably gag on the data.

What you should do is get a video capture card like the Osprey http://www.viewcast.com/products/osp...rds/osprey-100

That way you can plug into whatever software you decide on.

there's Adobe Media Encoder CS5 which isn't free, not sure for broadcasting live video it's necessary, we use the free one and it works fine

the Logitech C910 is the best cheap HD webcam, seen girls using it and the quality is great
