Adult Tradeshows - How was XBIZ East??
 

I am curious how XBIZ chicago turned out.., bold move starting fresh in a new town....

Anyone who was there... what would you guesstimate the attendance to be (not official overstement but real numbers??)

Personally I am tiring of the current tradeshow circuit... I think it is tired and in need of something new....

(No offense to any of the current market leaders)

I would say there were about 150 people, maybe 200. It was better than WA when it went to NYC and actually had events for networking and education, unlike WA NYC or Maui.

I would be surprised if they did it there again, but I guess they had to give it a shot to see if midwesterners could be dragged out of their homes. It was shown once again, that it just doesn't happen in Chicago.

Met some people I haven't met before. Some people starting up that were well on their way to getting sued. I liked the hotel, but forgot the do not disturb sign and got a knock on the door at 830am on sat, REALLY?

What party was that?

I thought they were doing an event there ... guess not.

after years in the biz I can tell how busy as show is by the amount of thread views JFK thread get..

It was small but good quality people and a very well run event. Xbiz always does a good job and tries hard to get attendees. We sponsored an event at Hunt club and it was a good turnout. Everyone seemed to have a great time.
Chicago is a great city. I wish the weather had been better.

I guess chicago wasnt too good a town, they are moving to Miami next year. Great idea! Shows always do well in Florida. Mine was great until the crash.

Miami should work well, imho. Personally i think SB is wrong for a show Hollywood worked well because it was away from Sobe, people were trapped and the hotel was closed - that is why it worked for so long.

Most likely, that would be the XBIZ show I miss.

If XBIZ is going to do shows in LA and Miami, swap the dates. Do Miami in Feb and LA in June/July
