I Have 44k Youtube Friends, What Do I Do With Them?
 

Are they completely useless? I don't see a way to mail them all at once. My address book actually says I have 135k contacts.

Do you only post the prizes to people in the US?

sort of, I mean most of my contests are going to be US only because of shipping cost but there will definitely be some that are worldwide. I will probably save up money and do the worldwide ones when I have a 30 winners one.


Contests are going to be 1 month long mostly and there will be 1 month between each contest and occasionally a 2 month break. I would like to clean off my desk by the end of next year though. With 300 blu rays and 100 PS3/xbox 360 games that might be hard.

Also the first couple of contest will be 10-15 winners of 1 blu ray each but after that there will always be at lest 20 winners. 3-5 winners in each contest will win just by commenting and getting their name drawn. Most of the rest will be based on the most data crunched. A few will get 1 ticket in a drawing for each 5k points they earn.

I do have some really cool stuff though. I have The Pacific right now and the extended lotr trilogy coming in the mail.

I'm thinking I will go ahead and ship the 5 comment winners prizes worldwide. I don't want to lose all those comments and it shouldn't cost me that much to send out 2-3 movies overseas.

is there no way to send a pm to all these friends in one day without getting banned?

you might be able to use the youtube api to send them msgs, but im not sure if the api actually publishes emails, you would need to lookup the docs.

msgs is what I'm after but last time I tried it would only let you post 20 or so and then give you 15 minutes before you could post more.

I have the same problem. I started collecting a bunch of friends to my channel Sugar Baby I have like 9k friends now. So I decided to try to message them, and Youtube has a limit per day of like 20 or some shit. If you could mail all your friends in one day, that would be nice lol
