Pharaoh Saleh, I wish I had more to say about you other than welcome to the pain I inflict upon you by showcasing you here. I may not even have your first name correct however, since this blog has over 60,000 views in not even half a day I?m sure if I?ve got your first name wrong someone will correct me. Captain Vancouver owns you Saleh.

d-null 06-16-2011 11:46 PM

I was reading that the Vancouver Police were still investigating and arresting people 8 years after the 1994 riot, so if any of these idiots think they can lay low for a few weeks and it will blow over, they are sadly mistaken, so much video and photo evidence out there, there will be a whole lot of criminal charges to face for 100's of people over this, and things will not be lenient when future deterrence is important, not to mention those that will lose jobs, get expelled from school or not accepted to university or college, etc.

they fucked up big this time

Been some really good examples made of rioting twats in London recently who just thought they could get away with smashing things up with no consequences.

Guy seems to be taking it a bit far with his very first shaming. Some kid was obviously making a joke and this asshole decides to try to ruin his life over it. I hope he gets sued for that one

I love how everyone makes it seem like Vancouver is the only city that has rioted over sports. Montreal rioted burned their fucking city down the last time they won the stanley cup. LA burns their city down and riots every year the Lakers win or lose in the playoffs.

If anything Vancouver is just trying to show the LA fans they have what it takes when it comes to pointless riots.

He posted some comment that he had personally flipped 3 cops cars and had bitten 2 riot cops and was having a great time, when in fact he was no where near the area.

It was a stupid, but obvious joke, but the guy decided to out him for it anyway.

Maybe Canadians shouldn't come off holier than though to their American Neighbors. Of course this is a generalization, you know what Canucks often do to us.

it didn't seem like a joke, if he was joking he made a very drastic error in judgement, if there is a major crime taking place that the police are investigating and you publish to the world that you did it, at the least you are obstructing justice and wasting police resources that will need to investigate, the guy has no virtue in this situation at all :2 cents:

The "holier than thou" generalization is an American created generalization btw. I can attest we do not go around praising we are saints of the world. We've only garnered that generalized label because our gov't chooses to act our military force in peacekeeping duties, not frontline wars.

My only beef with the whole issue is its being treated like some new, never before seen event with many American news outlets cracking jokes like its never happened in their country over a sports game. Don't throw stones in glass houses kind sir, I do like you and I do not add you to the 'Generalization' of which you speak of :winkwink:

I live in Vancouver not too far from where it all happened. You know walking around Vancouver you wouldn't even guess that this had happened. It's on all of the radio stations but nobody is really talking about it on the street. I think that the general impression is that it was just a bunch of teens from the suburbs gone wild.

wrong, social networks are still going strong on this, more videos are coming out all the time and people are naming names like crazy as they identify people they know, this is far from having moved on from, we will hear more and more arrests and people getting fired from jobs, kicked out of school, etc. in the next coming weeks

Ya, nothing to see, keep moving:winkwink:

sadiedazzle 06-17-2011 05:43 PM

You know one strange thing about the riot was that we were watching the game and then saw the burning cars on tv that happened not too long after it had finished. It was at least 30-40 minutes later that we saw about 40 police cars racing for downtown. We wondered why there was such a huge delay in getting the police to downtown.

No,just a few stabbings and many beatings.I hope they nail every parent on which the insurance companies said they would on these 16/to 20ish crowd of wannabe punks.
Most of the damage occurred from the Anarchists dressed as fans carrying gas masks ,weapons and masks.
The social media nailed so many so far it crashed the Police server due to demand with tips
One major retailer lost 1 million from looting alone.

Six rioters have turned themselves into the police, one man faces criminal charges and police expect to recommend many more charges as the investigation into Wednesday night?s violent post-game riot deepens, Vancouver police chief Jim Chu told reporters Friday.

Chu said the ?hockey riot? investigation team of about 30 VPD, RCMP and other municipal police officers is expected to grow as police collect more evidence regarding the crowd that looted stores, vandalized buildings and torched cars in the downtown core.

The VPD?s web server crashed Thursday after being overwhelmed with nearly 2,000 videos, photos and other tips related to the post-game destruction ? and police expect to receive hundreds of thousands more tips in coming weeks, VPD Const. Jana McGuinness said.

McGuinness called on others involved in the post-game riots to turn themselves in to police because ?above and beyond anything else, it?s the right thing to do ? or ?you can wait until we come and find you, because we will find you,? she said.
