in my experience lifeguarding and such, paramedics never checked credentials prior to providing help.

now they all take their time setting up, but in the dozen or so times i've been front & center, none have ever checked that sort of thing.

And here I thought the first thing they did was pull out your wallet to see if you had an insurance card.

I've never seen the EMT's look at a persons ID or really give a shit if they had it, had insurance, or anything other than helping them.

EMTs don't give a crap if your a donor or not. Nor does a doctor until the very end.

They don't just throw up their hands and give up and say "Oh, he's an organ donor so it's not like it's a total loss".
