Honey Lynn Loves good SAX
Ok, I got to SF and rode the Bart train to the civic center, a first for me. Public Transportation that is.
Then walked about 15 blocks to the hotel. Matt convinced me I needed the exercise, All up hill with luggage.
Tried to check in, too early, checked luggage and first person I see is Honey Lynn and check into the summit, my wrist band wouldn't fit, too small.
I got some breakfast and then did the speed networking and did more business in 20 minutes than the last 2 conventions I went too. Then after that went to visit the guys over at Naked Sword, Silvio and I got to meet and catch on some questions, nothing better than some face time with your accounts.
That night went to KIMOS and saw Smash Box Derby and rocked out, free booze, thank You ADG for putting this show together!!!!!!
Made a couple connections with some possible new customers. Finally met Kristin, her pics don't do her justice. Saw Rochard , been a while, talked a little business and then admitted I was behind Rochardsduderanch.com
Next morning, tried to stay awake during a billing seminar, saw Spannow and Belinda give advice about content shooting, Great Job Guys!
Went to a little forum where webmasters were telling industry stories, I forget who won, but I got a free pair of Black Handcuffs from a hot girl named Monica from Stockroom, I have plans for these!!
Then Honey Lynn and Aaron from Titan Media, well we all took a Cable car, new experience for me, then had dinner with some more people on Fishermen's Wharf, went thru a couple dozen Oysters on half shelf, I had some anchor steam on tap and a sampler of fish, During Dinner Julius JFK showed up and sat at the next table, felt like the the whole gang was there.
When we left, we walked about a couple blocks and found a blues club that Julius and Honey Lynn knew about, they had a a group called Willy G and the G spots, yeah love the name!! The Sax Player was one of the best I have ever heard, Honey , Well is more than apparent that she loves good Sax., Seriously! And we'll leave it that.
When we left and parted ways, it was JFK, Honey and I and we looked for a cab that couldn't be found, a limo pulled up that wanted $25 but JFK said no, so the search for the illusive cab continued. I turned around after walking about a block and JFK was no where to be found , So i just kept an eye on Honey until we found a beer bar, this place had what looked like 100 beers on tap, I love places like this and I shared my name with the bartender, even spelled the same way.
Honey decided she wanted to visit an old friend and made a call, I was ready to get some sleep and finally got a cab. This has been a grand adventure and a good business experience . I hope to see more shows like this in the future.
