What to do? My GF applied for a job and was asked out by the person doing the hiring
So my GF goes on job interview with a financial services firm. She goes on 2 or 3 interviews. She is sent an email from one of the guys giving the interviews saying they are not ready to make a decision on who they are going to hire. A few weeks later she gets an email from another guy who was giving the interviews. I think he is the top person in the firm. In the email the guy says "in talking to you during our meetings I realized that we have a lot in common and I was wondering if you would go out with me so we can know each other better".
Real smooth guy huh? I already called the guy and let him know I am a textbook sociopath with pent up aggression and it would be wise to never contact her again. What should I do next? Isn't what he did illegal? |
i dont think he'd do jail time for it ...
|
DUDE! Major fuck up. You're supposed to let her get hired, get hit on after being hired, then sue for sexual harassment ~ the ultimate revenge.
|
No lawyer here but I believe you could at bare minimum get the guy fired. What he did is illegal as hell. In the same breathe, if you do anything about it, she will be blacklisted and never work in that field again - life sucks.

He's an unethical, unprofessional douchebag but he definitely didn't do anything illegal. You did the right thing letting him know that you're not right in the head and have poor impulse control.

Send her to her next interview in a burka.

I don't think it's illegal, unless he suggested that she would only be hired if she went on a date. I'm not even sure if that's "illegal" in a criminal sense, should be able to win a civil suit with that though.
I would speak with the guys boss. That makes the company look pretty bad and I doubt his boss would appreciate such behavior because if he is trying to pick up interviewees, he is probably harassing other girls around the office as well. |
You can likely get the guy fired. Illegal? I don't think so.
IMO, what he did was about as illegal as your response of essentially threatening him, so It's best to just try and get him fired, maybe lawsuit but I doubt that. |

Sounds like she's probably not getting the job in his mind anyways...

Sounds like typical corporate scumbags running that joint.

As funny as that is, it seems to be the best one. And lastly, if you got a good girl, you really have nothing to ever worry about.:thumbsup |
Whatever you do don't overreact.

If she doesn't get the job now you an argue its because she didn't go on a date with him.
