Movies that are totally crap... BUT...

You cant resist watching them anyway, if they are on TV?

Mine are 'Grease" and 'Dumb and Dumber'... (Despite having already seen them more times than I can count...)

What do you end up watching, ONLY because it happens to be on TV?

spazlabz 06-26-2011 10:59 AM

Attack of the killer tomatoes
but it is never on TV so I bought the DVD

That doesn't count! :thumbsup

CDSmith 06-26-2011 11:01 AM

Elvis movies. Anything with Elvis in it that's on I have to watch.

Whenever some station decides to put an Elvis movie marathon on I'm screwed.

Profits of Doom 06-26-2011 11:04 AM

I definitely agree with "Grease". Another one for me is "Red Dawn", that movie sucks in 100 different ways but I still watch it whenever I see it on...

AdultKing 06-26-2011 11:08 AM

Apollo 13, I don't know if it sucks, but whenever it is on the tv ends up on that channel.

PiracyPitbull 06-26-2011 11:33 AM

Fast and the Furious :(

Chosen 06-26-2011 11:33 AM

I don't watch TV :pimp

Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

My personal fave from the 1980s is Top Gun, and my wife can't stand it.

Scott McD 06-26-2011 11:45 AM

Even though i get pissed off at the fact it's on tv more than any other damn movie, i still end up watching Die Hard from whatever part of the movie it's at when i switch on that channel...

bronco67 06-26-2011 11:52 AM

Road House...

But if a movie entertains you, then its not really crap.

2MuchMark 06-26-2011 11:58 AM

Torque!

Terrible dialog, fantastic film making. And best of all, Hottie Jaime Pressly, squeeze in to super-tight leather, stands on a rolling motor cycle, jousting with another hottie, to "Push it" by Static-X. My girlfriend hates it. I love it. And there ya go.

WATCH!!

The 5th element was not crap :2 cents:

Shit movies that I've watched a bunch of times just because they are on.. hmm.

In college, I had the dish.. and supertroopers would come on a lot. I fucking hated it.

I made a fun post on GFY back inabout 2005... The post was 'Guess who's standing behind me, and ready to answer any questions'

Unsurprisingly, I got very little response... So the guy who was stood behind me (Hanging in my office) wandered off...

Who was the guy?

Bobcat Goldthwait :thumbsup

TB Adriana 06-27-2011 03:06 AM

I always re-watch Jean-Claude van Damme movies and the Die Hard series

I've bought plenty of them - apart from a couple of his older movies they're mostly straight to DVD stinkers, and therefore dirt cheap!

I think I got a 4 disc set (4 movies) for about $11 at the supermarket. :1orglaugh

gmr324 06-27-2011 06:29 AM

you named your son screwface???

You guys are naming some movies that aren't considered bad by anyone.. even by me and I'm the harshest critic ever...

Some movies are just enjoyable despite how ridiculous they are, that is kind of the beauty in the art form, it doesn't have to make sense sometimes to be fun to watch.

ps. the fifth element was HORRIBLE!! but i still watch it... bruce works it...

Steven Seagal is one cool mo fo and a lousy actor with zero talent, like most of the 80's action stars - I stopped watching his movies 7 years ago. Actually Hollywood stopped to use him for big screen movies. As far as I know the guy is producing something like 2 movies per year and all of them goes for the DVD markets directly - especially asian markets - there are a lot of people there who finds his facial expressions during different situations awesome. Actually he shows just one expression for all of them. I've heard that from this biz only he gets something like 2 mil per year, so he's okay.

Van Damme on the other side shows more potential in acting in his late movies, but he does not have many chances to make some valuable movies. I've heard that he had a conflict 5 or something years ago in S.Stallone mansion where all the hollywood tough guys were gathered for a cocktail or something. Seagal - ( pronounces See-gull , not Se-gal - he said that on interview, but he does not care how the people call him - he has enough fans ) - so he was talking around that he'll kick JCVD's ass and will wipe the floor with him with no problem. So van Damme went berserk and started to confront the big guy - ready to fight. Seagal went out saying: excuse me and got a cab. No fight, no blood.

I agree. If the Fifth Element comes on, I must watch. Its also the only movie I can stand Chris Tucker in.

Also on the list are the original 3 Star Wars movies. I avoid Spike on the weekends because otherwise I would get nothing done.

Tom_PM 06-27-2011 11:22 AM

I can't accept the premise. Just admit you like some movies that others might consider to be crap. :winkwink:

Just his middle name...

CarlosTheGaucho 06-27-2011 01:16 PM

Not sure where to start..

- all kinds of orthodox 80's antics such as 21st Jump Street and alike

- all kinds of horror movies from the 80's and 90's, especially the zombie genre

- old Steven Seagal movies (about one out of six new ones he produces every recent year is also more or less watchable)

- Chuck Norris movies

- anything that's in Imdb's bottom 100

:)
