You should have read the terms, you have to transfer it.
|
Write your sedo rep and tell them you want them to cancel the transaction. They may or may not do it.
Last option, if you don't care that they may cancel your sedo account, just don't transfer it. |
Party like a rockstar on your profit...
It may not be much... BUT ITS 100% more than is in MY bank account... |

I have a txt file that I reply to Sedo domain buy requests that looks something like this:
ROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLRO FLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFL ROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLRO FLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFL ROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLRO FLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFL etc... There is no point selling anything through Sedo unless it is worth billions of dollars. |
I think you need to transfer it and treat it as a lesson learned. Obviously someone has bought the name in good faith, it's not like Sedo hid the terms & conditions from you or failed to disclose their fees. It's not the buyers fault you didn't know the fees. Be a man and honor your commitment. Maybe next time you will be more careful.

your reply made me think. 1. People have scammed me many times - but this doesnt means i should scam people also. 2. my friend says, (adult is illegal in my country) there is nothing legal in the illegal biz(i.e. in porn biz.). still i say him, there are lots of trustworthy/loyal people in it. 3. I never scammed someone b4 for money, at least online. 4. if i go with this, i m gonna loose 50 bucks, in my currency 50 bucks means 4.1) a months net bill. or 4.2) a months eating expenses. or 4.3) 20 days drinking expense. damn,., will c what reply i get from sedo. |
I have sold many domains at sedo, always been at a 10% commission, the 50 dollar thing new?

What if you where they guy that bought the $60 domain name and then the buyer backed out? You would come on and post how your getting fucked and it's all bullshit.
|
sellers fail to complete transactions all the time on sedo, just don't follow through.
|
Obviously you can either transfer the domain, or not. No one's going to tell you what to do, but it's clear you want as many people as possible to tell you not to transfer it ;)
Make the right choice man. What DBS.US said, if you were the buyer you'd post you were getting screwed over. |
You didnt have it parked. :) Those are the rules.
This has happened to me once before. Only it was a $70 (Sedo took $50) I got $20. My mistake, I should have had it parked, which I didnt. Buyer got domain, I lost $43. Way it goes. :) To Sedo's credit, I have parked a new domain and had it sell within 24 hours and only got charged the $6 (on a $60 transaction) It is all automated, which is good. |
What was the domain name? Just curious.
|
cooldude7 you can drink 20 days for 50$ ?
where on earth do you live? |
He is in India I think.
|
It's 10% normally but there is a minimum $50 fee involved. I had the same thing happen to me a month or so ago. A name (February.info) I risked at auction ended up selling for $70. I got $20 out of it, but it was a chance worth taking.

alias thanx, that gave it away.
