By declaring the debt ceiling unconstitutional, the White House could continue to meet its financial obligations, leaving Tea Party-backed Republicans in the difficult position of arguing against the plain wording of the Constitution. Bipartisan negotiators are debating the size of the cuts, now in the trillions, that will come along with raising the debt ceiling.

well technically the currency, the US dollar, belongs to the people but as it currently stands now the FED claims ownership of the dollar and we have to borrow money from them so...

What our government needs to do is put a new tax on everything coming from China. Bam.

I'm not into POT myself, but it seems to me like it would be a lot better to make it legal and then tax it.

taxing China specific import would probably spark a trade war, and we don't exactly have anything for leverage considering how little we produce anything tangible in the US
