TheDA 06-29-2011 12:29 PM

Saw it on the news here a couple of days ago.

SleazyDream 06-29-2011 12:31 PM

all I see is what looks like a drunk Indian driving on the highway, see it all the time here

that one did not hit my *cool fantasy video with special effects* minimum requirements for cool, fantasy, special or effects.

sleazy, did you get a chance to post in the *do you wipe your ass standing or sitting?* thread? i'd hate for you to miss that one as it seems more your style than this sort of thread. perhaps you'd be better suited hanging out in that one. :)

Vendzilla 06-29-2011 12:39 PM

Um, does it come in black?

SleazyDream 06-29-2011 12:39 PM

before I go, something more interesting

ok ok, it's an m3 not and m1.... but still.........

aweee, did I make you cry.....

I can FedEx you a tissue....

DWB 06-29-2011 12:42 PM

I'm pretty sure 1/2 of GFY could not only do that, but they could also fight off a pack of wild bears when finished.

Elli 06-29-2011 12:46 PM

so digital and the tire sound in the second video doesn't sound right. lame.

marketsmart 06-29-2011 01:24 PM

thats LA and not the highest helipad.

The world's highest helipad also exists here at Sonam, at a height of 21,000 feet.

.

Highest Def 06-29-2011 01:39 PM

There is just nothing dumber in the world than YouTube comments. Not even GFY comments.

Not sure about that one,

it looks like if he would have fallen off the heli pad, he would have still landed just below that on the rooftop for a non-fatal drop :2 cents:

NaughtyRob 06-29-2011 10:25 PM

Fucking nuts either way.

Still like comparing apples to oranges. The M3 costs like $20k more, but I'm also guessing it handles a lot better.

John-ACWM 06-30-2011 01:55 AM

Damn entertaining!

OneWhoKnows 06-30-2011 02:33 AM

Great clips. I own a BMW 1 myself and I just love my car. Unfortunately it doesn't have the fairly important M behind the 1, but still an awesome car :thumbsup

TB Adriana 06-30-2011 02:38 AM

that video just triggered all my height related anxieties...still shaking...

V_RocKs 06-30-2011 03:20 AM

The cool shit is that a stock version of this car will not drift. You actually have to break it in order for it to do this.

Yes and no. Notice it's called the 1M and not the M1.

biskoppen 06-30-2011 08:39 AM

Ofcourse it's not real.. imagine the casualties on the street on failure.. and no insurance company would ever cover a commercial shot like that

The 1 series was originally introduced as BMW's entry level economy car. Seems strange they would create an M version of such a vehicle. Kinda like putting a turbo on a Honda Civic if you ask me.

The closeups are probably real, filmed on a replica... :thumbsup

But on the long shot at 0:38 you can clearly tell it's CGI, the way it stops as it finishes the slide looks very unnatural.

Just waiting for the day where you can synthesize an entire scene and make it look 100% realistic...
