this really makes our justice system look bad. It treats people as guilty until proven innocent. If the DA knew within days she was shady, why did this take months to come out? :2 cents:

Maybe it wouldn't have looked as "bad" if he didn't leave all of his shit in the hotel room and tried to book it out on a flight.

The Flight had been booked weeks earlier and he was due to meet the head of Germany from that flight. Nothing unusual about that...just the media twisting it.
As far as leaving his phone behind...who hasnt left a phone behind somewhere...that is just normal.

He even called back to the hotel about it...hardly the actions of someone escaping a crime.

The guy has been persecuted by the media.

My theory is not a french candidate. The inevitable collapse of the case would only serve to backfire on a french candidate.

I think a wall street hedge fund, that is shorting greek debt, wanted him out of the picture.

Of course they found that, he admitted to consensual sex so that would be obvious. Nothing wrong with that. There is no law against consensual sex...unless of course you live in Sweden.

At one point in time the media consisted of professional reporters. Now most are Jerry Springer/National Enquirer sensationalists looking to grab headlines. The truth takes to much time and doesn't attract enough attention.

yeah you know the Man treated him so harshly (huge bail, stay at rikers, the expensive house arrest) one would assume the Man had an airtight case on him. The justice system made him look guilty before they had the real facts. I'm very mad at the justice system right now.

LOL ... That flight was booked way ahead of time .... He had a lunch scheduled with his daughter ( to which he went !!! ) then to the airport ....

As for the rush to the case and arresting him, it is all politics , a favor to another politician running for re-election in his country ...

Ok, so this is what seems to be happening, looking at the order of events with some inductive reasoning:

Dominique Strauss-Kahn is suddenly arrested on the testimony of a hotel maid. (perhaps totally made up charge?)

The state department comes to Kahn in jail, tells him that they want him to resign, or they will make these charges stick. They want to put their own person in his place as head of the IMF.

He goes ahead and agrees, knowing that they could ruin his life, and resigns right away. (I had thought this was a weird move for a man who is proclaiming his innocence)

They announce the new head of the IMF, Christine Lagarde, (who started out as part of the same Chicago legal/political machine as the present US administration), on the 29th.

The 2 days later, with the deal now completed, the charges are suddenly being dropped because of the "credibility" of the maid's testimony, and Kahn is released.

Kahn walks away with his life intact, and the trumpted up charges dropped, and the US government gets who they want as head of the IMF

I can hardly believe that a smart man in his position would risk like that in such an "affair", personally since the very beginning I had no doubts the case had been fabricated. Funny, but looks like sex is a very powerful weapon even in politics :1orglaugh
