2 Pi r = (2 * 3.14) r = 6.28 r They're Both Right! Actually I find it mazing that the surface area of a sphere (like planet Earth) is 4 pi r^2 where r is the distance to the Center of the Earth. http://spie.org/Images/Graphics/Publ...1_P02_fig2.jpg the surface area of the CIRCLE is only 1 Pi r^2 It's like if you took 4 photos of Earth and added up the area of the 4 circles it equals the surface area of the whole planet... just bizarre in it's simplicity! So what does he want? Instead of using PI in equations, we should all now use (PI / 2)? PI was invented to simplify shit, and he's just confusing it, with hopes people will think he's intelligent. |
