A question for GFY...

You guys are always great with giving diverse viewpoints & experiences, so I figured I'd propose this question here.

What do you feel represents an "offer". In terms of an affiliate offering (a site, product, etc. available for resale in order to generate commission).

Free free to keep it wide open. It might be an object, a font, a slogan, a set of objects, a way of presenting something, a color, a shade, a background, odd use of symbols, an angle of text, etc. Anything really...

What represents "offer" to you?

Can't wait to see what you guys come up with!

Something different than rack rates champ.

GetSCORECash 07-01-2011 09:26 PM

Offer me a discount and I will tell.

If you are looking for incentives... cash is king.

Deep!

It's moments like these I reach for the dictionary!

OPPORTUNITY!

seeandsee 07-02-2011 04:22 AM

offer => something i can use and make even more $$$, or something that will have nice price :)

Adraco 07-02-2011 04:58 AM

large letters and often in red

u-Bob 07-02-2011 06:13 AM

something 'different'.

georgeyw 07-02-2011 06:47 AM

Offer?

When looking at a new sponsor to promote I look at two things.

1. is it ccbill - if not then I will not spend one single second promoting it (no offence)

2. is the content unique and NOT saturated

If it passes those two simple tests then it has something to *offer*. :thumbsup

A foolish mistake business wise (not specific to NATS in any way), and also not even close to what the thread was about.

Just want to specify - do you mean an offer to us, to webmasters, or something webmasters can use as an offer to surfers/consumers?

:D

I mean visually. What do you think represents an offer (in affiliate terms) well?

An offer in affiliate terms being something you can promote to surfers as an affiliate. It's more of a mainstream term than adult.

I'm not 100% sure I understand what you are asking but...

Mainstream offers stand out the most to me. They usually have some sort of button, tag, or ribbon, or another eye catching graphic with "SPECIAL OFFER" or "OFFER" inside of it. The right graphic really catches my eye.

Adult sites usually seem cluttered and unfocused, so if they have an offer, it often goes overlooked. Also hard to notice an offer when you can look at tits.

It's actually a smart business move. I am a very small affiliate, however I have been ripped off by numerous sponsors not paying. This has nothing to do with NATS at all, it is the simple fact that ccbill sponsors have never ever taken a dime from me.

So if a foolish mistake business wise is to minimise losses, well call me a fool.

you are smart man,

i am also doing the same these days., ccbill only. or at least trusted programms like pimproll , sextronix, cams.com, vidz, coz they pay on time.
:2 cents:
:thumbsup

and as for the op's question.,

for me offer is something completely free or having gr8 value product/service at very cheap. :winkwink:

RyuLion 07-02-2011 02:11 PM

Discount price on your license...you'll get $$ each month that you wouldn't have..
tons of programs would stay with you for years.

How many techs do you have vs. sales guys?

(There's always reasons for my questions)

How have you been? How's Jersey? :pimp

So like a cha-ching!

Really depends on the theme, no? On a casino site it could be a BELL, on a porn site it could be a set of BOOBS.

On a one-page tour you could use a floating widget script that always calls your attention, or a left-corner page peel (for once)....

Lemme see...how about a quick flash with a hot model doing explanations?

I dunno - am I on the right track?

:D

Perfection.

poorly explained and every more poorly understood! :1orglaugh

i think Media Guy is the closest to what TMM John was looking for.

Diomed 07-02-2011 03:50 PM

I think most of us hold those ideas pretty close to our chest,

I know that I certainly think I have two very clever "offers" waiting to roll out after I amass the resources needed.

But in general,

you can make almost any product look nifty with proper presentation. I like a good web 2.0 user friendly site, something clever to look at.. and a service inclined a bit more to the social aspect of things.. where people are there, and not just a single product. Something to interact with.

I think being too secretive is not good. I'll fire-cracker ideas 'til I'm blue in the face just because they're easy to do, and because most won't be picked up on.

Most ideas I've had "borrowed" we're developed better than I would have done them, and I pick them back up again and improve on the improvements.

Playing it close to the vest as it were is for those mainstream, CES/Yahoo! tradeshows, whose ideas are usually known anyhow...

:D
