season of the witch
great so far, just like the movies I watched on Halloween when I was 10-12 :thumbsup

It was okay.
It's just hard to believe that Nicolas Cage has been reduced to doing these kinds of movies. I watched "Drive Angry" as well last week. I remember when he was one of the best actors and was in a lot of really quirky ass movies that were simply great: "Peggy Sue Got Married" "Raising Arizona" "Wild At Heart" And then he got HUGE as a lead actor in the 1990's: "HoneyMoon In Vegas" "Leaving Las Vegas" "Face Off" "City Of Angels" And then he hit it big again as an "action hero" in the "National Treasure" movies in the mid 2000's. I thought they were his weakest acting...but still pretty entertaining movies. But his recent stuff is just him "phonin' it in". I don't see even a sliver of the incredible acting and quirkiness of "Wild At Heart" in "Season Of The Witch" I know he's taking every acting job coming his way to pay off his debts...but damn. He's almost a joke now. |
Robbie, how could you leave out Valley Girl?
My "go to" Halloween movie lately is Trick 'R Treat. |

Sorcerer's Apprentice wasn't too bad.

Yeah, I agree, he's in all kinds of movies nowadays, nothing too spectacular. Don't forget some of his other good movies, Con Air, Gone In 60 Seconds, and The Rock.

For me, Nicholas Cage has endless credit because of this movie. He can make all the crap movies he wants. |
The Rock was pretty good too. I couldn't get into the Season of the witch.

So wait - Season Of The Witch. Scary? Good? Good scary or cheesy scary but still good? Also: how did Cage get all that debt? Gambling? |
