Question about Netflix

This may be a dumb question and is probably staring me right in the face.... BUT.......

Is it possible to sort TV shows by what network they are on? I remember being able to do this quite some time ago but now I can't seem to find it again...

BTW, I hate the new design. :Oh crap

BareBacked 07-04-2011 03:25 PM

I would like to k,now how to do that too hah.
I think finding shows is the biggest down fall of netflix..

The streaming is 2nd to none IMO.

I agree, the streaming looks terrific on my HD tv.

I run my Netflix through my Xbox 360 and so I also have an account with Microsoft's Zune. Zune is basically the same thing as Netflix but with more of an Itunes pricing structure.

You simply pay a flat fee for the shows you want to watch or the movies you want to rent. It's actually WAY better than Netflix in more ways than one and I love the fact that Zune has almost EVERYTHING you could ever possibly want to search for. You can buy, rent, and watch automatic previews once you click on something you're interested in too. You'd have to try it out to understand where I'm coming from but I highly recommend it and find myself using it just as much as Netflix.

Between Netflix, Zune and now I also have a HuluPlus account, I don't see why people would ever pay for cable again. The only thing I don't like about HuluPlus is that I'm still watching commercials but meh, I guess I understand.

Just my :2 cents:

I cancelled HULU plus. The commercials and the shitty streaming killed it for me.

I have an old small laptop hooked up to the tv via HDMI..

NO cable for years now ;-)

I hear ya, Hulu hasn't impressed me toooo much but its fairly cheap so I'm indifferent at this point. I really don't understand why I'm being forced to watch commercials but it's something I can put up with.

BTW, if you know of any new series I should be watching on any of these, please recommend some. I was going to start Breaking Bad but unfortunately it's not on instawatch so I've been looking for others to catch my attention. It'd be nice to have a show to get into again... I'm still waiting on Boardwalk Empire to start back up!

That's interesting. I think the Hulu streaming is fantastic, though I only use it on computer. Netflix streaming, however, I'm quite disappointed in. PC, again.

Both services are worth the money, I think.

If you're really frugal, like me, yet don't like to steal... buy used copies Breaking Bad on Amazon, watch, then sell. You can watch a series close to free by doing this, might only cost you $2-5.

Nah I've never been one to pirate, watching a movie or tv show on my PC feels wrong. :error I'm an old fashion couch and tv guy. I can get 3 DVDs at a time from Netflix so no worries... Not a bad idea though :)

Yup, there really is no excuse to for those that steal shows or complain about DVD prices.

I've bought on Amazon many times and nearly always got full money on re-sale.....its particularly good for series that you only need to view once.

No you cant sort by network but there are some pretty good queue managers for android that will show you new releases that you will never see on the netflix new release queue

as for recommendations, I like the documentaries too

If you havent seen Universe....thats awesome series

dreams with sharp teeth

skins is actually really good but NOT the US version The UK version and start on an odd numbered season characters span 2 seasons then the show starts over

dr who is entertaining, though a bit hokey

that should get ya started

Never was the type to watch movies more than twice,Netflix doesn't update enough and their database is limited.
I canceled after a month and rather watch Superchannel

Can't believe people pay for that joke of a service. I guess someone's got to get rich off the ignorant.

Fucking Blockbuster was better than NetFlix.
