Competitive eater Joey Chestnut won his fifth straight Fourth of July hot dog-eating contest, with 62 hot dogs. Virginia resident Sonya ?The Black Widow? Thomas won the first women?s hot dog eating competition with 40 downed dogs.

Watched it yesterday, amazing how many he can put down.

I'll bet a plumbing company was on standby outside his bathroom this morning.

What happened to the little asian dudes that always seemed to have those contests sewn up? Do they still compete?

They'd eat the weiner first then dip the bun in bread and swallow it down separately. They were always like 20 hotdogs ahead of everyone else.

Why are these food gobbling contest winners never big fat fucks?

I actually watched a documentary on it years ago. (sad, I know). They blame the ring of fat that most obese men have around their gut. It squishes the stomach and prevents the stomach from expanding more as it fills up with food. They called it the "ring of fat" theory.

The little asian guy that always used to win was next thing to being a bone rack. You could actually see the hotdogs expanding his stomach after a contest. Literally looked like he swallowed a whole watermelon. If you're a big fat ass your stomach has no room to expand to allow more tasty hot dogs in.

I do love me a good hotdog from time to time. Loaded, w/ chopped raw onion, mustard, relish, cheese, sometimes some hot peppers and/or sauerkraut, etc.

That's funny. I just seen it on TMZ.com. 69 dogs in 10 minutes. Didn't want to sign a contract with Major Leaque Eating. Probably makes more money being independent.

I just had two in honor of this guy. A couple of those oversized ones, all-beef, on whole grain buns, with mustard and some of that chinese hot chili sauce (the one with the rooster on it).

mmm mmm. Fuck were they good.

I usually start getting nauseous after eating one. Just thinking about someone eating all that shit makes me feel sick.

The way they eat hot dogs in those eating contests is so digusting. First they eat the wiener, then they soak the bread in water so it's all soggy and swallow it like a pill.

To honor America, last Friday (since I was off on Monday) my partner and I had some Nathan's hot dogs in a local mall.... Can't beat them!
