As an affiliate, I just finished moving my payments away from Paxum

Damn, I never realized how quickly that $1 every time your card is used for a purchase adds up. Or the 50 cents when you enter in the wrong CVV2 (did that once), or the $1 when you transfer money from your wallet to your MC. It doesn't sound like much, but it quickly adds up. I used it for three programs I hardly push, so a payment only comes in once or twice a month.

I've received $646.30 in payments over the last few months and have spent a whopping $89 in fees.

Almost 20 cents on every dollar.

If you're US based like me and don't really need Paxum, but just got it, you may end up doing yourself a favor by spending a few seconds analyzing what its costing you.

Before all of the supporters/trolls jump all over this, Paxum is a great service if you're not US based, don't have a checking account, etc.

Hi epitome,

I'm sorry you didn't find our service worked for you. FYI, a personal account (which is what most affiliate webmasters sign up for) should only have fees $0.25 per transaction from Checking to Paxum Mastercard. It sounds like you signed up for a business account, which does have higher fees for P2P transactions. You are also able to do a greater number of transactions with a business account.

We do appreciate you trying our service.

Ruth :)

Ruth, I'm interested in signing up but would need some more pictures of you first.

I just didn't get a card, works for me, I'm paying much less in fees as sponsors charge less on average to pay via paxum.

Having said that, I requested a check in MARCH, and it never came. I paid $35 to have it re-issued. Now it's July, and my second check (or the first one!) still haven't arrived. Canadian postal strike and all, but I should have received it by now I think.

Quit making 7 dollar purchases and that percentage goes way down.

Exactly, a few times a month I'll take out $500 from an ATM at $2.50 service charge. That's free basically. epitome had 89 transactions over a few months? Why?

You knew about the POS fee yet you kept using it instead of making one or two ATM transactions. :2 cents:

I transfer via EFT to my bank account when I reach around $1000 and it costs $5 bucks. You're doing something wrong.

paxum saves my life literally, fastest way to get cash, 24 hours a day

MaDalton 07-10-2011 06:14 AM

whats the alternative? getting 30 checks, paying $10 each to get the money? or wire with even higher fees with most sponsors?

i think you're doing something wrong

I dont say he is doing it "wrong" per say. The way he decided to use his paxum account is just not best way to get your money fast and cheap.

leaving all your money in your paxum account and using it as you would your normal bank card - ofcourse you will have more fee's if you jsut used wire/etf/atm withdraws.

in a city/country where they steal your cash, this is not a very good option (been there done that) :(:disgust

so I think I rather to have small cash and pay some fees everytime.

marlboroack 07-10-2011 08:54 AM

Someone has to make money off of you.

Brad Mitchell 07-10-2011 09:03 AM

How about withdrawing by ACH to. US checking account and getting a rewards Visa or Mastercard debit card from a local bank.. Oh wait, that would involve paying proper income tax. ...I'm just saying...

LOL

Brad
