Ive heard a lot of people use Cake, but thats probably because its popular

bonjurkes 07-19-2011 02:10 AM

codeigniter and symfony are pretty popular nowadays.

But of course the best one is Zend :)

Custom... Most frameworks are bloated pieces of shit with security holes that all the hacking kiddies love to look for since it's "off the shelf"... Zend has got to be the worst for being a convoluted bloated piece of shit. Write anything serious with it and look forward to spending extra on your server to run it.

Yii is another option. It has the most features compared to others IMO and it's easy to use once you get the basics. - also, totally free :D

:) But it's so EASY to build with! Then again, so is Lego. Not exactly a professional way to build something.

Good question.

I don't know which one, and I'm glad about that.

Codeigniter for sure. Yii is also really slick. I have used it to build quick, simple admin interfaces.

Anything that isn't working hard to be PHP4 compatible.

So:

Kohona (Codeignitor fork)
Yii
Symfony

I never knew Kohana was a CI fork. I might have to give it a closer look. :thumbsup
