no, boost the RAM...

wp is a hog if running a lot of plugins...

i run 2xquad core
32 gig ram
ssid array

i pay 650 per month per box fully managed

i can run hundreds of blogs per box and the speed rocks..

Haha, that's more than enough. Use a caching plugin and make sure your Apache and MySQL are configured properly and you'll be fine.

That's weird. I actually called and asked them directly about "adult content and links" and their answer was specifically...

Nudity is fine, but if you show or link to anything with penetration, that an adult warning page would be required.

It is good configuration but 1and1 it's not only provider which offer such configuration on that price level.

just use properly your RAM and use the kernel to clean up unused cache memory.

1and1 is like cheap plastic made in china dollar store junk - ok for disposable one time use, but there's no way in hell I'd run my businesses on it.

I have a number of dedicated boxes already. I am just looking for an easy way to try out a few WP blogs, so I am looking for an inexpensive entry-level solution.

After speaking with NameCheap.com, and asking about adult content, they suggested any of the VPS solutions that can be found here...
