What is the best way to accept large payments in the field?
A family member runs a contracting business repairing roofs, etc. He wants to be able to accept payments at the location. Assuming cell phone service is available, what do you recommend for accepting large, two-five thousand dollar payments instantly at the customers location?

they make credit card readers/processors for iphones, I'd look there.

We have a free NETbilling iPhone app to accept payments anywhere. If it is for regular payments we can set it all up at a great rate. Please contact our sales department for more information.

Most debit cards won't let you charge large amounts. :2 cents:

With NETbilling, a merchant can manually input 16 digit credit cards into the phone via touchscreen and process $5k payments? |
We used these guys to setup a merchant account and got a wireless terminal fedex'd for free:
http://merchantservicestotal.com/ They are an agent for Total Merchant Services. Very smooth and quick setup. High dollar amounts are no problem. |

Not like your clients would probably file disputes, but if they did and you weren't swiping the cards - you're going to wish you had an imprint. |
Hmmm...
Would I be dumb to say ESCROW ? :(
