Bit-pay: Automated Merchant Solutions for bitcoins
We are expanding our beta program now!
Bit-pay let's you have all the benefits of accepting CASH online, without any of the hassle of figuring out bitcoins. Why would a website want to do this? Bitcoins are like digital cash. They are a push transaction, like sending an email or a text message. The buyer does not give any account information or identity information. And once the merchant receives the payment, it's irreversible. Meaning, NO chargebacks. At bit-pay we can process a payment in 1 click, and the second click returns the buyer to your website. Merchants are paid by ACH every day to clear out their balance. There is no reason for us to hold money for a week or more. if you are interested, please apply for a merchant account at our site htt ps:// bit-pay.com We think this is a great option for adult websites because it gives the shoppers more privacy, and it reduces all the risk of securing peoples information, and eliminates chargebacks for the merchant. There are no setup costs, and the documentation is all inside the site once you are approved. Bit-pay processing fee for this automated process is 2.99%. We were interviewed yesterday on OnlyOneTV (it's long but the live demo starts at 29:00) youtube .com/ watch?v=UZAnM4FjTOg if you have any questions, reply here or email me at [email protected] Thanks Tony |

This is the same automated payment system that STARE is using, now available to more websites!

Smoking a bowl and then gonna listen to this overly enthusiastic hoe talk about bit-pay for 5 minutes
--- nice pickup from rapidshare's hot german biatch explaining about rapidshare :thumbsup |
Here's the million dollar question (assuming the bitcoin currency doesn't collapse faster than Paul Markham did the last time he took viagra):
Will you accept pirate-oriented merchants? :rasta |
End of the day bit-pay is licking their chops at the potential volume provided by pirates if and when their paypal/merchant accounts get shut down. :small-smi :banana :small-smi
|
and I heard their fees are even less if you decide to receive bitcoins instead of USD :thumbsup

I think of Bit coins like the token systems of the past, except it's p2p and everyone can just plug-in if they want. No central approval needed. No fees involved. Fraud protection is built-in.
I'm not seeing it as a merchant processing solution, there's no processing. With the ACH however it seems more like an exchange service. They'll take your bitcoins and give you dollars. |
Bitcoin itself as P2P has alot of potential. But actually receiving payments and interfacing with the bitcoind is not easy. If you want to set your price in dollars, you need to constantly pull exchange rates from somewhere and quote people bitcoin prices, and then when the payments come in you have to figure out who just paid you. Plus you have to secure your wallet and it's not that easy to automate for a website.
With bit-pay, it's just about as easy as putting a button with a form on your page. Yes there is a fee, but it saves a lot of headaches. And if you want to receive dollars, you can get all the benefits of accepting cash online without messing with the bitcoin stuff at all. |
