Industry Newbie... Need Advice : )

Greetings All, I'm Jay, qualified photographer with experience in glamour, fetish and such. I am looking to set up a profitable Adult/Alt/fetish website over the next year. I have no experience in website building and currently use a template website (mrsite(dot)com) which is too costly and I'll be changing.

As a photographer with a studio, equipment, use of models and knowledge of legal process (release forms etc) the content isn't an issue. However I have no idea how the industry works, how to profit from a website and how to build one on a budget.

I understand that this is not a 'get rich quick' industry and I'm prepared to put a lot of hours in to make it work. My current generic photography work can be viewed (message me for link)

I need step by step advice from those who know the industry best. Any contributions would be most welcome.

Hi Jay!

You got it right, this is not a get rich overnight kind of business anymore. it was almost like that back in 2000-2004.

There are sadly so to speak, to many websites out there and to many people involved
just hanging around doing some kind of erotic sites, just to get sex themselves.

And we should not forget that all technique around is like 20 times cheaper, everything from digital cameras, studio flashes to website hostings and monthly traffic fee.
That means that even newbies without great economy are starting websites today.

And donīt forget all siterips out there. If something is not done in the near future, it will be totally fuckde up with the Biz.
But nevertheless, serious people can still make a good living in this industry.
And I see that you have the basic tools.

You can contact me on ICQ and I can probably teach you a thing or two, as Iīve been in this business since 1992, so I have learned a thing or two.:pimp

best regards
