When should you start adding ads to your website?
Hello everyone, I am a long time programmer but new to the adult webmaster scene.
I've done some small niche sites with adsense but nothing adult related. How many visitors do you recommend to start earning some bucks? 10 unique a day, 100 unique a day, 1000 unique a day? Also, what kind of ads should I look for, when running a tube site? Thanks for your time |
http://www.juicyads.com/ref2.php?ref=15423 These guys KICK ASS I am using them for all of my ads right now. You can set everything yourself or you can let them automatically tweak it to get you the most revenue, you can even have them rotate some of your own ads in if you want. I have not found a better ad platform, period. Their support is very helpful too.

honestly I thought the same way as you before, like I was figuring well I'll wait until I am getting x # of visitors a day to a site before I put ads on it, but then I just decided to do it and in the beginning even with low traffic I made enough to cover my monthly hosting (at that time I was on a $10/month shared hosting plan) which was kind of cool, it has grown steadily since then. I would say as long as you don't overdo it with the ads (meaning don't put several on each page) you should go ahead and do it from the beginning.
I typically only put 1 or 2 ads on a page, I think it looks spammy beyond that but others will disagree. |

put ads up whenever you want to start making money.

You can put it up whenever, but don't expect any money even worth mentioning before you have at least a few hundred visitors per day. In adult, you can expect a cent or possibly a few cents per unique visitor, from adsense you should have some idea of click-through stats. Say a quite high number, 5% would click your ad, from a site where you get 500 visitors per day. that is 25 clicks per day, at 1 cent a piece you earn around a quarter per day, or some $7-$8 per month.
In other words, not much worth doing it with much lesser traffic. Unless, of course, you have many, many small sites doing 100 or 200 visitors per day, then you can play the aggregated numbers and still make a few bucks per day. Or get some popunders going on your site, and get paid up to $3 per 1000 pops, if you get onlu 100 visits per day, that's 3000 visits per month and at $3 per 1000 popunders, you still make $9 per month. Good info , thanks
