wouldn't a safety prevent such things from happening? Either way i wouldn't feel all that comfortable stuffing a handgun down the front of my pants anyway...

JamesGw 08-08-2011 08:48 AM

I'm more disturbed by the idea of a pink gun.

One operator told Christopher to apply direct pressure to the wound with a dry towel or T-shirt, but to avoid looking at the wound.

"I did look at it," Christopher said. "It's pretty bad."

Depends on the gun, not all have safeties. Besides on many guns the safety will only engage if it is cocked.

MaDalton 08-08-2011 09:04 AM

funny :glugglug

dallasnovelty 08-08-2011 09:04 AM

Sounds like what Plaxico did up in the club. That dude was already cocked, locked and ready to rock.

L-Pink 08-08-2011 09:19 AM

Not following gun safety is just like not driving safely, an accident is inevitable.

The guns you are talking about, even though they are cocked and the safety is on, will never misfire. They are designed to carry cocked and locked.

Guns with no safety? you are talking about double action guns?

Even a Glock has a trigger safety that prevents it from accidental fire, unless of course you have your finger on the trigger when you are adjusting it in the front of your pants!

:2 cents:

Hehe I remember riding a bike with one of those in my shorts at summertime, but safety was on.. it was a M1911. Never misfired even though it was old.

My Ruger 97DC does not have a safety or anything to prevent the trigger pull (except the 12lb trigger pull with hammer decocked) when a round is chambered. My Glock trigger lever is a weak safety at best.

most every gun has some kind of safety

Glocks have 3 safety mechanisms.

Most all modern revolvers have a transfer bar safety.

brassmonkey 08-10-2011 12:10 PM

he was arrested this morning and charged with mis conduct involving weapons

NoWhErE 08-10-2011 12:18 PM

I dread having to live in a place where you feel the need to carry a gun on your person.

Ruger P90 DC is a de-cocker only, no safety.

But in any case, the ultimate safety is the holster. If you can't pull the trigger, it can't go off (in double action mode, of course).

It has a firing pin safety.
