I remember when I was young a friend stole a page from his dad's Playboy. After he carried in his pocket for a week, he have it to me, all crumbled from a week in a pocket, being pulled out a couple of times per day. After I shoved it in my pocket a couple of times it was really ragged. It was still awesome though. A raggedly piece of torn paper with hundreds of creases was treasured in the bathroom because that's the best we had. I assume it's similar for the legally blind. It's the hottest thing they're seen all week, even if it's barely visible.

I'm sure some innocent people will be caught up in the attempts to stop piracy downloads. That's not the fault of those enforcing the law and protecting their livelyhoods. It's the fault of the pirates. If they don't want innocent people to get caught in the net, that should stop.

Instead they bleat about a very small number of people so they can keep with their illegal activities.

Do you ever hear of bank robbers complaining when an innocent person gets accused of robbing a bank, so the detective work stops all together?

True. I can see the logic. The RIAA tried for years to sue people, it cost them billions, increased piracy through advertising the sites, and was totally and utterly a massive failure. Which they admitted, and stopped doing.

The best thing is this case is to stop to sue this guy.
So if the used proof is bad, it doesn't affect the other cases (he is blind, so he is a good victim).

If the proof is good, and if he really downloaded something (activism), it prevents a backfire (OUR image)


The company could just explain that it is not convenient for them to sue the guy.
