buisness license??
 

My husband and I just filled out our LLC paperwork for our adult website and were wondering if we have to have a business license? We made sure to have our operating agreements done, just aren't to sure if we needed the business license as well. Any response would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Unless your providing a service, selling a physical product, or processing credit card transactions yourself nope. :BangBang:

If your conducting business in a city you need a license. Can you get away with not having it? Probably. It is however easy to get and usually cost less than $100. Something to remember is it can throw up a red flag as to the nature of your business and you may not want that. I operate in a small town and if I went down to register for a license to operate a porn company I would probably be turned down. Much better to license your company as either a photography business, internet company, or maybe a website development company. Something to that effect.
One other fact that may or may not help you. If one of the owners of that company is a disabled american veteran you by law have to be issued a FREE business license. If you point this out to a city there first reaction is "No sir, you still have to pay." You should send them their application for a license completely filled out, a copy of the law stating that you are entitled to this for free, and a copy of the servicemans DD214. They will grumble but you will soon get your license in the mail, every year, free of charge.
