CC Processors a poll

For this unscientific survey that we can all laugh at in six months. Select the credit card processor you wold select if you were starting a new site TODAY.

xxxinnovations 01-29-2003 03:05 PM

Other = Jettis.com

Probono 01-29-2003 03:17 PM

If there is a someone who can add Jettis to the poll please do. It seems only moderators can edit

wouncie 01-29-2003 03:31 PM

Please replace the first one with Jettis! (no need to have Ibill up there, they may not be around 6 more months.

jammyjenkins 01-29-2003 03:33 PM

JesusBill.com ?

PipeCrewBilling.com ?

Probono 01-29-2003 08:30 PM

Interesting that several people still would select Ibill? I am surprised based upon the constant Ibill bashing on the board?

I know all anybody needs to do is type ibill in the search field and see how many people are being ripped off. Some people just don't get it.

Too bad CCbill is charging $700 for visa processing now (well, I suppose Visa is charding CCbill that, and they are passing it on to the webmaster)

I seriously don't see how someone can start a paysite if $700 is a "problem".

It's like everyone is turning their free sites into paysites now. :eek7

Cindyff 01-29-2003 11:34 PM

just a point of interest here, ccBill finished *refunding* my $750 VISA registration fee last week, they paid it back over the course of 2.5 months w/ each check, no other processor offered to reimburse their webmasters like ccBill did as far as i know, and they did in fact follow through w/ their promise, no bullshit excuses, no stalling.

i voted ccBill btw, even though they have a sick fascination w/ collecting blood-type data from surfers... their organ harvesting operation is of no concern of mine, they rock as a processor..!

tony286 01-30-2003 08:53 AM

We have ibill and we havent had a problem with them. The thing that pisses me off is me paying 750 for visa, I am responsible to visa now and I still have to pay 15 % . Thats why we are looking at our own merchant account. I think if you run your business honestly and take care of your customer a merchant account isnt a problem to have.

As usual, conventional wisdom --- even in the adult webmaster community -- is always wrong ...

Ibill has severe problems --- not the least of which is financial --- stock dropping nearly 50 percent recently.

And while CCBill's customer service is good ... their password management absolutely sucks.

They still haven't fixed scripts which are wide open to hackers ...

Not to mention CCBill selling spam lists from their database ...

Actually, Jettis was the first one to offer to refund back the $750 Visa fees to it's customers. CC Bill was the only one smart enough to follow suit.....to the best of my knowledge ;)

Lots of people are still using iBill. We're using iBill. CyberErotica is using iBill. MaxCash is using iBill.

Probono,

Just listing Netbilling under "having your own merchant account" would be like listing everyone else under "IPSP - 3rd party processor). There is a big difference with simply having a merchant account and all of the services and tools that we provide.

Mitch

p.s. tony404, How would you like to pay 7% less and have full control? I would love to show you our system. You will be amazed, I promise.

juicybucks 01-31-2003 12:25 AM

you left out websitebilling from the poll. They're good people over there :) Even better for O/S webmasters !

BluMedia 01-31-2003 12:33 AM

We have had no problems with CCBill or their password management. The webmaster admin is the most extensive I have seen and their 24 hour tech support is awesome. I like to have control over the sites and everything possible and CCBill gives us that. We can add a new signup price on the fly, create cancel mailers etc just about anything. You want full control at anytime without any wait and CCBill gives us everything. We would not trade them for any other processor.

Mark,

I think we have different definitions of "Full control". Are you able to control your own level of fraud scrubbing or view credit card #s? Our system REALLY gives you full control at 50% less in processing fees. Also, do you get paid daily? Our merchants do....

Mark

BluMedia,

MAP2 is actually implementing with our system now and their new shopping cart system only works with Netbilling. Mansion programmed it for Falcon foto and will be making it available to others with our system.

We sure are Mitch, and we have several clients waiting anxiously for it to be done. Soon my friend, soon ;)

Also, instead of doing a poll about ONE processors, I say USE THEM ALL!

We are making webmasters 20 to 30 % more using our cascading billing solutions. And we also cover the VISA fee for the three third party processors in our cascading. And if you use your own, well, Netbilling is the perfect solution.

Darkystar 04-23-2003 10:19 AM

ccbill all the way

BJ 04-23-2003 10:27 AM

netbilling is very good. We have looked into other gateways, but none have nearly as many features and value adds that netbilling has.

Sure, and how many features do you really use

EscortBiz 04-23-2003 10:30 AM

lensman should make this thread a sticky so people dont have to post every other day what biller to use

chupacabra 04-23-2003 10:34 AM

heh... kinda funny to see this old poll get bumped back up after months, even more so w/ the troubles some have had in recent weeks (WSB, iBill, etc.)... go ccBill, always solid..

Wow, it's a good thing I don't work there any more or you'd be getting something from legal for that bit of libel.

Which merchants offer not just processing but affiliate programs that include a extensive webmaster referral?
EG: 1)process payment
2)webmaster referral
3)webmaster referral resell (referrers sign up other referrers)
4) The merchant offers one click referral sign up using their customers
These were the features of one of my old processors and what i look for as features could over ride interest rates.
