I had a bicycle built for two, once

I had a beach cruiser built a couple years ago and I loved it. It was a little pricey, but at the time I lived by the beach in San Diego, so it was worth it.

Built a custom BMX from scratch but I hand picked all the components. Love it.

yes, i had 2 bikes built by Big Shot Bikes...

they are both sweet and get a lot of compliments.

one of my friends ordered from Republic..

his bike only came with front brakes..

i would order from one of those two i mentioned...

ive had a few custom bikes built and ive built them myself welded frame etc but i like Electra 8-ball Cruiser had one great bike and cheap compared to a complete rebuild also remember if when you get a custom bike built there is always going to be teething problems

Those are some sweet bikes!

I've got 2 road bikes that you can pick up with your little finger, a Trek town bike, a Trek mountain bike and a Standard framed BMX (http://www.standardbyke.com/blog/) that I built from scratch.

Never had one custom designed like republicbike or missionbicycle makes tho... I wouldn't want drops on a town bike but those design options are awesome!

If you want a fixie for around town from a good company, go with the new Blackmarket NSF. BlackMarket is a true rider owned company that builds amazing frames. I've been riding their MOB frame for years and now their Killswitch for slopestyle. Best frames on the planet.

That's if you are interested in performance. If you just want a colorful bike, those other companies will probably work fine.
