Did we have boots in the ground in Libya?
 

I know how GFY likes to think the US government lies about everything... They keep telling us we didn't have boots on the ground. I think we did - I think we had some Special Forces training them rebels....

What does GFY think?

No boots on the ground.... But wings in the air.

Of course we had special forces on the ground. Anytime the government insists there are no troops on the ground you can assume there are.

I've heard conflicting answers to the question.. They typically say no boots on the ground but then they say there's been some forces training etc. the rebels.. Really unclear who that is. NATO? Or US forces thru NATO?

Armed US military has been on the ground there. Technically they are "advisers".

There are positively Special Operation Forces on the ground...be they ours or be they NATO's...or a combination of both. It is SOP.

I personally suspect the US re-establishing diplomatic ties was just a way in to put assets on the ground. Funny, things went from looking bright for the current regime to massive revolt seemingly over night.
