I agree that $6,000 is pretty meager from so many people, even if it was only in two hours.

Indeed, "The Power of the WordPress Community" would be able to continue development of this product, regardless of what happens to a single individual. I was a Nuke fan in the day and enjoyed the dev community, but the WordPress guys have it beat hands down.

Not bashing him because his products and support are great, but JMB is an example of the other end of the spectrum, where one guy is pretty much the drive/genius behind the whole thing (active community or not). Top-notch adult targeted software and tools, but real life takes its turns and one day, you wake up and say, "Sorry squire, duck's off..."

That last line was a Fawlty Towers reference, but I digress :winkwink:

WordPress is the proof that money can buy you anything - destroyed competition, ass kissers, even more money...

We have something like that here at GFY... Within 2 hours of requesting financial help you will be told to GFY over 6,000 times.

Someone please bump this if the guy needs more help and the donation form is reactivated, I missed hearing about it.

so yes, even if you're one of the users between millions WHO ACTUALLY FOUND OUT, the donation form was closed 1 and a half later. Anyway, I really don't get why people hates on absolutely everything, geez guys, relax a little :thumbsup

Pretty nice! There may be millions of WP users for sure, but I guess only a few of them know who Ptar was, they just used the service without looking further, let alone knowing who operate WP (even I used to have a site in WP and had no idea who this dude is until now). If anything, $6k in a few hours is impressive in my book.

$6000 was the goal and to achieve it in 90 minutes is great!

People complaining about a community raising 6k in a few hours while they are the core example of a bad biz environment.
