Question about advertising

I am not quite ready for affiliate programs yet, but I do have some questions. When I get into affiliate programs I don't want a page full of advertising and popups and stuff. Is there a wordpress plug in where I can have mostly text for advertising? Please let me know your thoughts on this, because I could be wrong and need the visual of popups and stuff. Thank you.

our page www.porngeekz.com, is a fully wordpress driven review site, with a good balance of advertisments and high quality texts.. if there are any question about plug-ins we are using, or something else let me know

I am really confused don't you need affiliate programs to start? What exactly are you trying to do? What kind of site are we talking about?

I was told that I need to get my visitor stats up first before I post ads on my website.

When I 1st started I was on blogger, my thumbnails didnt show up, and I dont know how much traffic I actually had because I was using some BS stat counter. I joined a couple affliate programs, got a few sign ups, and then I was able to buy a theme and hosting.

Why wait? Post ads now!:thumbsup

Great site! I really like the theme and how you've made yourself a recognizable brand (Is that correct term?)

I might have some questions about this site later on, but what I wondered about now is how you've done your warning pop-up. I need those :)

Thanks. :)

It didn't happen to you?

If I check the site in Google Chrome or the latest Internet Explorer,
The warning page ends up being behind the videos on the page, at least on my machine :(

That's an error of the plug-in. You have to fix the plugin's css file... I think they have entered the wrong z-index #

*edit*

sry wrong suggestion.. you have to add - wmode="transparent" - to your embedded video codes.. then it will works... see http://www.porngeekz.com/pornstarspunishment-com/ for example

Thanks. And sorry for stealing the thread. Didn't mean to

It's okay that we got off subject. I have that plug in as well for entering the blog. Even though the plug in isn't compatible with the newest wordpress I haven't had any problems. I'm learning a lot from gfy and we'll see how my affiliate program research goes.....

Jpink 08-25-2011 05:44 AM

Oh and also I'm applying for Quantcast too. :thumbsup
