Steve Jobs cancer picture

http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2011/...14_306x750.jpg

Regardless of what his haters think (and there are many), you have to give the man props not just for his successes but also for the inspiration he provides because of his failures. Its easy to stick your chest out in pride when things are going well, Jobs stuck through the hard times when things were looking bleak and he rose up again to even greater heights. Just like a phoenix.

In our own lives, we get to choose whether to keep plugging away and rise out of our valleys or just lay flat on our backs dreaming of the days we spent on the mountaintops. Thanks for the inspiration, Steve Jobs!

damn that sucks. :(

epitome 08-28-2011 04:53 PM

Funny how he's always dying in these pics but looks relatively good at the keynote speeches.

I remember when there was a ton of speculation as to whether he'd deliver the speech awhile back and everybody was expecting a skeleton but he looked fine.

Bryan G 08-28-2011 04:53 PM

Jesus. He does not have much time left.

DudeRick 08-28-2011 05:05 PM

Just goes to show ya, all that money is worth nothin...

Spunky 08-28-2011 05:49 PM

NaughtyRob 08-28-2011 06:40 PM

Sad. Shows you that money can't do everything.

Alright, I have an old friend who works as an engineer at Apple and I sent him a Facebook message with the link asking if that's what he looks like these days. His exact response was:

Quote:

I've seen him at the Cafe a month ago. He's not looking great but he doesn't look anything like that picture. He looks more "been sick recently" and not "sick now" in appearance if that makes sense. The photo is either fake or really old.

Yeah, but he has a better chance than most. He has billions to devote to his care. It's amazing what money can buy when you're really sick. The best care from the best experts.

(Not saying there is anything wrong with that)

he has pancreatic cancer. A 5% survival rate after 5 years. Close to ZERO % survival rate for greater than 10 years.

I know about it too well. One of my best friends, who is 28, is in remission.

Was on an 18 mile run, passed out, went into a coma, came out a few months later with a pancreatic cancer diagnosis. Then spent most of 2010 in the hospital.

What's odd is his was the epitome of perfect health before all of this. It was ridiculous how healthy he was. Went back into the hospital yesterday but luckily it was only dehydration and stomach flu and was released after 5 hours. Everything is always a scare though.

Gay married in California (one of the 18,000 couples that got in -- been with his husband since they were like 17), adopted son and twins on the way with his sperm carried by a family friend. One of the happiest and most generous guys in the world. The type people aspire to be.

BUT the silver lining is his family is able to afford the best care, just like Steve. He's cancer free right now after God knows how many surgeries and chemo, but it can always come back and nobody forgets that.

Pancreatic cancer is about as bad as it gets.

His pancreatic cancer is fake? Better let Steve know before he dies. I bet he'll feel silly when he knows his life-ending illness is just a big rumor.

FreeHugeMovies 08-28-2011 08:45 PM

You are about 4 days late with this picture.

Harmon 08-28-2011 08:58 PM

Is he wearing some sort of dress in that photo?

porno jew 08-28-2011 09:03 PM

adapt or die?

digitalfantasies 08-28-2011 10:29 PM

I think the pic is fake..

if it is... it's kind of a sick joke actually

SomeCreep 08-28-2011 11:09 PM

Digitally altered for shock value. Lame.

Jakez 08-29-2011 12:48 AM

Damn, that sucks. And if it's fake whoever made it should have some cancer growth developing right about now..

As much as I hate Apple products I absolutely love my iPhone and have to admire what they've accomplished in the last decade.

John-ACWM 08-29-2011 01:24 AM

Unbelievable sad when cancer strikes :(

grumpy 08-29-2011 02:29 AM

So much money and visions and now helpless because of this disease. Fuck the green, health is all.

Lykos 08-29-2011 03:46 AM

Hospital gown. Ties up at the back - easy for someone else to get on and off you.

Quagmire 08-29-2011 04:56 AM

why is he wearing a skirt? Did he decide to take up crossdressing in his dying days?

I've never seen a black hospital gown...

CamJack 08-29-2011 07:54 AM

Can you imagine the experimental high cost shit he must be trying? I bet he's getting pumped full of stem cells.

seeandsee 08-29-2011 08:43 AM

looked so fake when i saw it first time...

cherrylula 08-29-2011 09:00 AM

yeah it's fake... pancreatic cancer victims usually look worse than that. :(

JamesGw 08-29-2011 09:39 AM

if it's real, then that sucks for him.

I think it's shorts turned sideways. You can see the pocket near the front. That's why it looks like a skirt.

KillerK 08-29-2011 12:43 PM

If can't beat this, this gives us no fucking hope. Since money is no object.

arock10 08-29-2011 12:51 PM

thickcash_amo 08-29-2011 02:03 PM

AzteK 08-29-2011 02:07 PM

I know this pic is fake because he wears jeans and a turtle neck no matter what, even in the shower.
