Tube X to WordPress converter?
 

Anyone ever convert their tube x site to a wordpress site?

Looking for a tool that can export the videos, tags, categories, descriptions, titles, ads, and embed codes/videos from TubeX to wordpress.

TubeX is awesome, but I'm playing around with a few experiments.

I seriously doubt that tool exists, but if you know a little php, with the help of any csv export tool you should be able to do it :2 cents:

i would just query the mysqldb, grab all the relevant info and create a csv file from the results.

The WordPress templating engine is pretty impressive: you could easily use WP template code within the TubeX template and actually integrate WP into TubeX (and vice versa)

the problem is that i don't actually know how to do that, as i've not ever been that skilled in the sql area.

fris - your method - would i export the TubeX db, then export a WP DB (like a sample db), then basically make the fields on the TubeX db match what the ones on WP say?

or plugin the TubeX info into the appropriate fields on a WP DB?

you would just connect to the mysqldb , and get the info and create a csv out of it (with php) or whatever lang you prefer

then import the data to wordpress

I'll have to play around with it a bit, as i'm not to great with the sql/db stuff.

Then you will have to pay someone else because this isn't going to be easy.. unless you already know how to program and understand MYSQL...
