Is Labor Day a holiday anywhere outside US and Canada?
 

is this Labor Day in any other countries? i forget how it even got its name, should be called End of Summer Day or Back to School Day.

In some countries there is "Labor Day", but it's celebrated on a different day obviously.

Nahh... Is coz 'Labour' is a polictial party in the UK, so it would be like having a national holiday for Democrats in the US :thumbsup

Tag der Arbeit is the name of one day in central europe.

I think in most latin countries including Spain its May 1st.....

We had our August bank holiday last week.

In Europe it's the 1st of May. In the Netherlands also (called "Dag van de Arbeid"), but it's not a public holiday here. We work on labor day.

Argentina May 1st and yes its a holiday day

May 1st - in many countries, but I assume its not the same as that day is not important for most of the people... Unlike labor day in US which sounds like some important holiday

i knew about the Labor Day's in other countries on May 1 but is there a holiday that celebrates the end of summer and start of school? doesn't seem to be.
