In some countries there is "Labor Day", but it's celebrated on a different day obviously.

I think most countries observe May 1st, which is not observed in US for obvious reasons :2 cents:

Nahh... Is coz 'Labour' is a polictial party in the UK, so it would be like having a national holiday for Democrats in the US :thumbsup

We had our August bank holiday last week.

calvinawe 09-05-2011 05:25 AM

there is, but not in Sept.

BIGTYMER 09-05-2011 06:00 AM

Beer day.

In Europe it's the 1st of May. In the Netherlands also (called "Dag van de Arbeid"), but it's not a public holiday here. We work on labor day.

I think every year the anarchists cause a lot of riots in Germany on the 1st of May.

Argentina May 1st and yes its a holiday day

mineistaken 09-05-2011 01:34 PM

May 1st - in many countries, but I assume its not the same as that day is not important for most of the people... Unlike labor day in US which sounds like some important holiday
