I wouldn't be surprised. There is a lot of talk about these 'smart' meters. my parents hydro bill nearly doubled when they started using them.

Pacific Gas and Electric Co. has found a defect that it says caused almost 1,600 of its SmartMeters to overestimate power usage when temperatures inside the remote devices rise to about 100 degrees.

I bet what's happened with this guy is his aluminum foil has been blocking the wireless signal these smart meters send out to read your usage. They havent been billing him or he's getting billed incorrectly. :1orglaugh

Sell tin foil packets for the smart meter like they do for the passports and CC's,but the hydro company will remove them and charge back and possibly investigate for a grow op.Just smash the shit up and blame vandals
