get a tab with android
|
I was going to buy a tablet, and then decided against it. They all seemed to do almost everything I was looking for. After comparing every tablet I could find I decided on the Xoom. This was close to a year ago, so I'm not sure if my comparisons are still accurate. But, it seemed like the Xoom came closest to having a laptop than any other, including the ipad.

ipad.....

Been playing with the HP and it's not that great at all, if you have an iphone go ipad if you have an android the new toshiba looks good
|
Acer Iconia Tab A500 16GB - looks like a nice android tablet.
http://www.mobicity.com.au/acer-iconia-a500-16gb.html Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 16GB WiFi http://www.mobicity.com.au/samsung-g...16gb-wifi.html If you like apple, get an ipad2 or wait a few months for an ipad3, im sure their make it soon enough. then ipad2 prices will be lower on ebay. |
I would go with an iPad, there seem to be many more useful applications for the iPad for Internet Marketing purposes, getting custom apps written for it is easier, just go to oDesk and spec out an app for an iPad or Android tab then look at how many responses you get.
You can write an iPad off on your Australian income tax in the year you buy it. |
I'm on my touchpad right now and I love it! And yes you can get them cheap, just watch the hp site as they have another batch coming out in a couple weeks.
I'm getting another for hubby. |
Lots of cheap Android-tablets on my favorite online store: www.dealextreme.com

Have we done the valium joke yet?
|
Get the galaxy and report back, I'm thinking about getting it.
|
for my first tab I recently got the Galaxy 10.1 and so far so good,
it's wifi only but that's fixable with the right smartphone, haven't noticed any dropping, it's a bit smaller than I would really like but maybe that's just because my fat fingers haven't learned how to touch it just right yet android is pretty neat, flash is enabled, and I finally tried Angry Birds (the fuckers that came up with that should all be shot!) the screen smudges up pretty bad but I guess that's to be expected size, weight and price comparable to iPad I'll report back after I've had a little more time to play with it |
I just sold my tablet that ran the Android platform. Ipad is much better! :thumbsup
|
i went with the barnes and noble nook... super cheap and you can hack it very easily and turn it into a full blown android tablet for much less than the alternatives

I think tablet style PCs will eventually take a large market share away from laptops, especially amongst average users. Anyways, checkout this hybrid. I think this is a step in the right direction, but still too bulky. Also, Windows isn't remotely as sleek and fluid with touchscreen motions like Android and iOS. |
doubt he got anything, had to pay his mom for internet for this month
|
I went with the ipad but ended up never using it after the first few months
|
I tried a xoom and exchanged it for a galaxy 10.1 I love it...plenty of useful apps....many free
android is THE way to go |
I enjoy my Xoom.
|
I got my wife a Samsung Galaxy 7 with 3g and wifi. Very nice and got a good price with T-mobile. It's got a 5 gig download but we don't get anywhere near using it all up. She uses it all the time. Pretty nice and the size is just right, but the best part is it is not an Apple product.
Almost forgot, very responsive touch screen. |
Love my xoom, it does all I need to do
|
bump bump
|
Use my Ipad2 every day!
|
I got a Touchpad. It's not bad, but I'm not really wowed by it. I prefer it over a laptop for browsing, although you need the keyboard extension to be able to type effectively. I can only hit about 30wpm on the Touchpad screen. I can usually type at about 110 wpm - although I obviously wouldn't expect to be able to on a touch screen. Well, maybe eventually as tech improves.
