9/11 still feels like it happened a few months ago to me, so yes, i'm tired and saddened by all the coverage.

Watching those persons jump from top floorsmknowing they were going to die anyway is something i will never forget.

So, i guess it's ok with me, no problem at all.

Just cancel cable like I did. Now I don't hear newscasters repeat the same news in 75 slightly different ways, doing everything they can to avoid awkward silences.

I haven't seen a commercial in a long time, except when they play in front of a video on some website.

I drove by an elementary school the other day. They were putting cups into a fence that read the words.....

I am still blown away by what happened on 9/11. It's our generation's Pearl Harbor. I haven't been watching the news much, but I do have a bunch of 9/11 related stuff on the DVR set to record.

Sadder still those kids will never know the truth, I could only imagine the shit in their history books:helpme

Sorry dud I know you love that move (all 3 versions) but none of these conspiracy theories make any sense. Al Queda did it. The buildings collapsed due to damage by the impact of the planes and the fires. Unitied 93 fell to the ground. It WAS a plane that hit the pentagon and not a missile. Time to move on.

Yes it's a day to remember, but when they shove it down your throats for two weeks ahead of time, it gets a little old.

Its unhealthy, the media that is. US media has become a sick virus.

My heart goes out to the families involved. That was one horrific day.

The families should be allowed to grieve anyway they desire but the 24/7 spin is mind-numbing.

And the sad truth is, the worst is yet to come.

While I'm sick of all the patronizing filler stories I'll never lose the fascination of watching actual footage of the towers.

Well, if no one would mention much about 9/11, There would be a thread titled "WTF, did we all forget already, don't you think?
It is too much for some, too little for others...
Anyway, it is 10th anniversary, this is why the coverage comes earlier and it is more extensive.

they fucked up with building 7. i'm not sure how their plan got fucked up, maybe they thought it would have had more damage than it did from the other buildings coming down.

buildings don't collapse into their own footprint from that amount of damage. in order for that to happen, all main supports have to be removed in a certain order. this is a process that takes a high degree of planning and skill.

even larry silverstein said he gave the order to "pull it". after making that comment he kept quiet because he knew he fucked up. when he was asked a year later he said he was referring to pulling firefighters. well, you don't call a group of people "it" and there were no firefighters in that building at the time because the entire area was considered unsafe.

if another country had the same thing happen to them and they blamed us for the attack, you would have every swinging dick engineer saying it was a textbook demo job.

how could the government do this? we wiped out 1/4 of a million people using two bombs so do you really think they give a fuck about 3K?

how can any intelligent person watch that building come down and not know it was controlled?

One thing people moaning about too much of it on tv, but a joke over a terrorist attack & plenty of hard working people dieing>??? :(

To re-iterate: I'm already sick and tired of news coverage of the 9/11 10th anniversary. They're doing stories about stories about 9/11, they're reporting on their reporting of 9/11.

TV news is a ravenous bottom-feeding hyena that grabs any rotting old bone and gnaws down on it till it's feeding on its own leg.

You could replace "9/11" with "Royal Wedding" if you want. It wasn't about 9/11. At least when the world media were talking about that royal couple crap I could turn to US news 'cause they don't care as much on that, but this is ... relentless. Five minutes news, 20 minutes 9/11, 20 minutes sports - my TV is off.

it's hard not to. every time is see or hear anything about it i'm disgusted. don't get me wrong, i know we have to protect the oil we use...i just think we could have done it a better way.

I've watched a few things about it the past week or so.

I think they are just going all out this year because it's the 10th Anniversary.

Probably next year there won't be half as much coverage...
