Just took my kid 2 weeks ago to the hospital because he knocked over a lamp and grabbed the bulb, burned his palm pretty good.

I could tell the lady was grilling me too, like... DID YOU DO THIS TO HIM??!%!?%@ hehe.

I once fell on a woodstove several hours from a hospital with both hands.. My dad didn't take me to a doctor, just ozonol and bandages for a week.. I developed like square inch thick pads of blisters on both palms, maybe 4 or 5 per hand. Had to cross country ski to get to the car.... Fun times.

with the number of producers and number of shoots they are doing stuff like this is inevitable.

not sure how Manwin and its producers contractually do business but could be her case is against the producer and not Manwin. Do talent get their checks from Manwin or from the producer's company?

Simply don't understand why someone there wouldn't have a first aid kit in one of their vehicles or even some water... Too many morons pretending to be "professionals".

It's kind of absurd to expect others to take care of you, especially when you're not an employee of the company. If she was concerned, why not end the shoot and take the loss, or call an ambulance?

It's a longshot but she should ask if they have insurance for this kind of thing. If so, it should be very easy for her to collect something for the damage to her body, lack of attention, loss of work etc.

Why couldn't whomever was in charge on the Brazzers set show some compassion and put the welfare of the performer first?

Some might argue that the responsibility/priority of a Producer/Director extends beyond getting content, to the welfare of those who are working for them (regardless of whether they are a regular employee or an independent contractor).

I don't know. If I was in charge, she would of got the medical attention first and then if she felt up to it, we would have finished the shoot. But, if I was her, I wouldn't expect anyone to take care of me, and if I was truly concerned, I would of put my own health before the money.

I just don't believe you can hold anyone accountable, except yourself, in a situation like this.

Since this was shot in Calif, I expect Brazzers will be in Hot H2O with OSHA and the local DA. If shoot was not permitted...uh-oh. I am sure her lawyer is all over this like white on rice.

It sounds like she has been trying to contact them to resolve the issue for months now, since she has had to pay for her expenses out of pocket.

I also would have thought they would have a plan in place to escalate the issue right away to management and their insurance company, not only because it's the right thing to do, but since any kind of legal proceeding will likely cost Brazzers/Manwin even more money.

I'm a small company, yet still I carry millions in liability insurance in case of accidents, etc.

She shoulda ran to the drugstore and did that herself. Then they could have written the bandage into the scene (better than a huge muffler blister)

ok no worries, its just concerning that so many actual content producers can dismiss their responsibility for people who are working for them. Its called a duty of care, wether they are working for them full time or being contracted, at least in Australia it is like that.

I was waiting for someone to say this. I expect the shooter doesn't. By refusing her hospital or first aid he will likely invalidate his insurance, if he had one.

If the shooter has money, simple answer is to sue him. He's responsible.

So you would of abandoned the shoot and taken her to a hospital. Yes and I'm seeing pigs fly over my house. That was the only option if they had insurance cover. We had it for models and it was stated very clearly for anything but the most minor problems the option was simple, hospital.

In law the shooter is responsible, he should of looked after her. It looks like this was on location, so did the model have transport to get to a hospital?

So a trained person administered first aid or untrained. On whose instructions was she taken to the studio and what was the treatment.

This is going to cost this guy Porno Dan a lot of money.

Needs a lawyer, who chose the model and location. Who was ultimately employing her, etc?

Advice to Manwin. Get lawyers stuck into this, pay the girl off, sack the shooter, instruct all shooters they must have insurance cover, check up on your insurance cover and liabilities. The insurance companies will instruct people how to react after an accident occurs.

The amazing thing is the shooter carried on shooting a girl who was obviously in pain and had a scar. What level of work was produced?

Oh BTW, the title of this thread is great too.. typical ADG post, trying to get attention... _burned BY brazzers_ ... lol.. one of the director's crew was holding the VAN up in the air (we have very strong people on our crews!) and pushed it against her ankle! that was how she was burned _BY BRAZZERS_ ... right...

I've heard of a lot of production companies having a gofer filming the entire filming with a cheap consumer vid cam just in case. I've never done it...but have heard of it.

Might not be a bad idea with so many shoots going on in so many places for your company.

Do people get skin grafts and laser removal for 2nd degree burns?

I never thought those type of burns were that bad...I always assumed they just got better over time or with neospoene or medderma.

the real issue is what kind of bathrooms there is on the outdoor shoots. this all could have been avoided with better washrooms?

hardly the producers fault that she accidently burned herself on a tail pipe, and it's not like getting immediate medical attention is what caused her to take 6 weeks to heal. A burn is a burn and will take time no matter what. There isn't any magical ointment that will heal it overnight.

Fabian, not sure if I would be proud of something like this, but the responsibilty, rests with the shooter, who should of acted.

Looks as if they tried, but no to the satisfaction of the model. Been burned plenty of times, tail pipes, wood stoves etc. It's not a very pleasant thing to go thru, but it does heal after a while.
