What no matter incoherent nonesense I post here at GFY, as a Canadian, I thank the United States of America for providing me with a good living. Something my own country never did...

I'm a really shallow person - as I'm sure you know - but I love you all with every inch of my being.

Although many of you will vehemently disagree with me, I'm going to offer up what I consider to be the most heartfelt and honest American song ever written.

Of course - along with Pete Seeger and his own father - its easy to dump Arlo into the commie pile. Personally, I consider Arlo (and Woody) to be the greatest American musical artists of all time.

Arlo might be a shit-disturbing disident, but if he wasn't American he would not be free to express how he really feels.

Regardless of what you believe, I love your country with every beat of my heart. Sadly, I doubt anyone gives a shit.

As a liberal bleeding-heart Canadian - and I've said this before - I love the United States of America.

Sorry if I'm out of line, there just seems to be a lot of people who bitch and whine about the freedoms that so many Americans have died to protect.

I'm going away for awhile. I realize I made a lot of idiotic posts in the past. Understand that - every hour I've been alive - I have been thankful that the United States is in control of the free world.

Hate my stupid, inane ramblings if you wish. As the 10th anniversary of 9/11 approaches, I don't think I can even type anymore. As I watch people die over and over again on my television, I cannot take much more.

FUCK THIS! I am SO sick of watching good people die.

I know you don't care, but I think I have to go away for awhile. God Bless America. Thank You for everything you've given to me and my family. I can't even type because my eyes are full of tears.

I am a Canadian who grew up right across the border, a good chunk of my family settled on the US side of the border and the others on the Canadian side just after the turn of the last century. I feel the same as you, love the US and its story. It has its flaws and history shows empires don't last forever but the idea of America, a nation of outcast and reject immigrants bravely settling and building the world's greatest and richest democracy out of nothing in the blink of an eye in mankind's history is incredible.

Its' haters, externally and internally, are naive simpletons.

Enjoy the world without America as a superpower. Europeans have short memories.

The USA has definately been helpful in my existance ;)
