Scrapebox Tip of The Day: First In A Series!
 

You know, we call ourselves "Internet Marketers".

That's just not true.

The reality is that most of us are "Internet Advertisers", much like billboards overlooking a highway or a poster tacked to a telephone pole waiting for people to look and hoping for the best.

Most of us are like vultures, waiting for something to die so that we can eat and only the few are actually hunters looking for the game, intending to kill something and take it home.

Why do you think brick-and-mortar stores use flashing lights, newspaper, radio and TV advertizing?

They are all hoping to have the best sign, the best print ad, the best TV commercial so that people will come to their pathetic little hole-in-the-wall to buy something.

Noticed the number of commercial vacanacies in YOUR town lately?

"Internet Marketers" (Advertizers) are much like brick-and-mortar stores in their thinking in that they all hope that by worshipping at the smelly feet of The Great God Google, their pathetic little webiste will get traffic.

They spend all their time looking fo keywords, tags, meta tags, banners, fansigns; they BUY traffic, they TRADE traffic and with notable exceptions, they end up broke and discouraged.

Well, here's the News Flash!

It ain't your Daddy's Internet any more!

There are presently around 300,000,000 (That's THREE HUNDRED MILLION; a THREE FOLLOWED BY EIGHT ZEROES!) websites out there and in a year or so there will be 500,000,000 (That's a FIVE FOLLOWED BY EIGHT ZEROES!) websites out there and most of us, as INTERNET ADVERTIZERS, hope through SEO (Search Engine Optimization) to make our own pathetic little website NUMBER ONE in Search Results so that we xan buy a yacht, live on a beach, eat fresh fish and be served cocoanut wine by bare-breasted native women.

Right.

Not gonna happen.

Let me put that a different way.

IT'S NOT GOING TO FUCKING HAPPEN!

At least in a timely manner or in a manner that will allow you to live in the lifestyle to which you'd like to become accustomed in any reasonable period of time.

So................................................ ...................?

In the early 20th Century, Ford salesman would fire up a Tin Lizzie, drive out to a farm and make a sales pitch to Farmer Brown and every Farmer Brown in the county.

The Ford salesmen had showrooms but they didn't hang around in them.

They WENT OUT AND BROUGHT HOME THE BACON!

FINANCIAL EMPIRES were built around these programs and those financial empires were built by KNOCKING DOORS, not by guys and gals sitting around WAITING FOR SOMETHING TO HAPPEN!

I suppose at this point I am preaching to the choir and to some extent casting pearls before swine but I will ask you this...........

If so, read on for the first "Scrapebox Tip of The Day"!

Here it is; I found this on on the 'net and I like it; reprinted verbatim:

"At times this blog has posted some blackhat-oriented tips, and this is one of those times. It’s a basic but effective piece of advice for those who maybe need a boost in their creative thinking – and backlinks. So here’s how you’re going to use the spammers who leave comments on your blog to help you get backlinks.

First, you need to have a blog that gets spammed. Not a hard thing to do, actually: just set up WordPress and post the link to your site on any other website and you’ll start getting spam comments within a day. (At least, that’s how it seems to work.)

Once you start getting spam, open up your copy of Scrapebox. Copy the first sentence of the first spam comment, and paste it into Scrapebox as a custom footprint (in quotes) and use it to scrape results from all the SEs. (You may get a nice list – I just did this with a random spam comment in this site’s logs and got over 600 results.)

Next, clean the list for duplicate URLs. Then, run the blog checker (in Scrapebox under Tools). Throw out all the “bad” ones. I ended up with 473 good ones out of an original list of 692 harvested results, BTW.

The next step is to run the fast commenter and get yourself a bunch of links to your site(s). Run the slow commenter next, then copy all the successful comment URLs to your clipboard, then put ‘em all into Mass Indexer (or just build your own feeds and ping the links) so they get quickly found and indexed (you need these backlinks to be counted as such, after all).

Additional Thoughts on this:

I use proxies for every part of the process.
I use keywords as my names. The reason for this is because all of these blogs obviously approve spam comments. So it’s probably safe to go ahead and put your keywords right in there.
You can use keywords in your comment as well, due to the reason given above.
If you want to only get the best links, run the PR checker and throw out everything without PR.

This is one of the easiest tips to implement and very effective, so have at it. If you don’t have Scrapebox in your arsenal (I use this and Market Samurai often), this tip makes it worth getting alone.

Oh yeah, and one more thing – you should run the list first with ONE url and then check which ones stick."

The first part of the post gets one thinking. Good post if you skip the scrapebox spam, which is spam for a spamming system.

SallyRand, you seem to be an intelligent, if eccentric, person. If you ever decide to come over from the dark side.and work on some anti-spam measures or similar I'd like to chat with you.

What do you define as "spam"?

If you're taliking about posting to blogs which permit open posting, we're not on the same level, not in the same room and in fact, not even in the same country.

Webmasters don't like posts to their blogs, they can always go to manual approval of posts but that would require work.

If you term where I am the "Darkside", so be it; I can't control how you think and nor would I try to do so.

I will tell you this though, Google wants it all; that's why it is constantly changing its search shit, to the detriment of all.

If you do not think that I am hungry and do not give a flying fuck about what Google thinks, you are dead wrong.

Using any number of methods, all of which are LEGAL, I will DRIVE traffic to my sites, whether or not others like it.

I will use auto-posters, I will use CAN-SPAM compliant double-opt-in emailing,I will use Twitter, I will use Facebook, I will use any social networking site, I will use Xrumer, I will use semi-naked girls wearing revealing bikinis standing on street corners if I have to in order to get click-throughs to getting PAID!

Can you imagine fifty PCs, each running multiple copies of things like Scrapebox and the effect it would have on your income?

It's a numbers game and always has been.

i paid one of those marketers a while ago to market some sites and they got shitty penalized for getting thos ebacklinks.
