Most of their movies appear to be just up-res crap. Not true HD. Although it does look better than standard def. At least you get their original series like Breaking Bad in real HD.

Their movies are all crap. Can't wait for the butchered 20th Anniversary Edition of Silence of the Lambs they've been plugging constantly. What a joke.

AMC is great for their original dramas, but the movies - it is too laugh! They should be called CAMC - Censored American Movie Channel. They're redeemed by their amazing original productions, so I love 'em anyway.

I watched Deliverance on there once and they cut out about 4 minutes right around the part when Ned Beatty gets ass-raped. I can see them censoring it in some way, but the way they edited you didn't even know what happened. That's like cutting the shower scene out of Psycho.

Worthless!

When I was stateside, I used to have dish network... Cause it was free! I had a box that picked it up, gave me ALL channels (Including Pay Per View events) 100% free !

Good Times...

And before someone says 'Pirate' I wasnt ! I bought a box, from a legit store, that happened to do that... NOT MY FAULT :)

Probably hacked free to air boxes. They finally put an end to those a couple years ago. Although there are still some that can get stuff for free, but requires the boxes to be connected to the internet, which sounds like an easy way to get sued. (some people have been already, I think Dishnet asks for $3500 to settle)

Yep, twas a pansat 35000... Being honest, I knew it was technically wrong, but I didn't know how long I was going to be in the states, so didn't want to officially sign up... However the box was NOT bought under the counter...

It was from a proper bricks n mortar store that said 'Dish Network? $199 Just buy the box...' IN HUGE NEON LETTERS IN THE WINDOW...

So I did lol

Ya they were and still are perfectly legal, as long as they didn't sell them with the firmware already updated to the hacked version. Lots of stores did though. Some would just sell you the receiver and you had to update the firmware yourself at home.

Kinda surprised they haven't hacked Nagra 3 yet using the old firmware method.
