What ever happened to quantum-x ?
And those awesome urban exploration pics he used to post? Think he finally got arrested and put away for 30 years from trying to climb to the top of some old building or something?
Was telling a friend about some of his pictures and tried to find his website, but saw it was offline and noticed he hasn't been here in over a year. Found this, but seems last post was half a year ago as well. http://www.sleepycity.net/troublemakers/quantum-x |
Its been some time since he posted.. I think he was repping a program for a while but not sure.
|
I have a few of his pics saved on my other computer.
Some of them were awesome !! |
sent him the thread on icq, lets see if he responds :winkwink:
|
Yeah, I enjoyed those posts as well... I'm an 'armchair' urban explorer.. Never done it myself, probably never will ether, but always fascinated to read about those who do, and see pics...
It was his posts that lead me to find THIS forum - Very simler stuff |

He's still kicking around somewhere, in fact a few months ago he and I drove from Paris to Iran. I suspect he's traveling again atm, but I'll pass the thread along to him as well.

pure quality there, just wasted about an hour on that forum |
it makes for nice pics, but i wouldn't be so interested in the whole 'urban exploration' thing i see on those sites. Walking around with a bunch of hippies for hours, i can think of more fun stuff to do.

yea i know, but im talking about the general urban exploration of deserted factories, areas, etc. Not about some of the daredvil stuff he does.

Hey all. I'm alive. Yet to be squished by a train. My GFY absence can be explained by the fact I switched to mainstream a while back.
The road-trip to Iran was neat. We did France, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkey, Bulgaria. It was planned to go to Turkmenistan, then Iran, but we got sadly stuck in Sochi in Russia for a week. Sochi will be hosting the next winter Olympics - but don't be fooled, the place is a hole (and also has a civil war 50km to its east, and another with the Georgians 50km South). Ran out of time overall, so abandoned the car with two drunk friends-of-friends in Sophia. No idea if it'll still be there when we get back, or if there'll a mangled corpse in the boot. Iran is an amazing country. Forget everything that you've learned from the media - the people are amazing, welcoming, gentle and worldly. The government sucks, and if you try, you finding trouble is probably easy enough (fucking with the miliatry / messing around in hot border areas). But the people - amazing. Interesting to note: The burqua (top to toe ninja costume) is rare to see. We saw one woman dressed suchly attired. But we saw a shit ton more (and in Turkey - in the east). Anyhow, a few photos. http://travel.ninjito.com/images/201.../qx-pano-3.jpg The 'standard' MIG on a stick photo http://travel.ninjito.com/images/201.../qx-pano-4.jpg Those who know me, know that's not me. http://travel.ninjito.com/images/201.../qx-pano-6.jpg Moscow jet & chopper graveyard http://travel.ninjito.com/images/201.../qx-pano-9.jpg Still no idea what this is - Georgia. http://travel.ninjito.com/images/201...qx-pano-15.jpg Abandoned boats on a salt lake, Iran.
