Zombaio - Network Disruption

:warning Public announce :warning

Zombaio is currently experiencing heavy network disruption and are at the moment unable to send out any disruption notification emails.

The load balancing server in Frankfurt, Germany has a huge temporarily problem and we don't know much more at this stage. Our network operation center is following this second by second and will do everything to have all services back online as fast as possible.

We will keep this thread posted.

Good luck getting it sorted out quickly :thumbsup

Cause: Cause still unknown.
Status: Field Technician is in place and engineers troubleshoot remote.

Estimated: Not determined.

Case Number: TT # 1021025576

Sharky 09-16-2011 10:51 AM

ouch... when it rains, it pours

cardinalvices 09-16-2011 10:52 AM

omg, good luck on fixing it.

Zombaio_Tomas 09-16-2011 11:16 AM

Cause: Broken cooling system in UPS room

Status: The cooling system in the UPS room is broken leading to the rack for load balancing. We have staff on the facility that are replacing the broken parts in the cooling system. Once this is done we can get the load balancer up again.

Estimated: Not determined.

ty for the update...

I know you can't tell us exactly when this will be fixed, but can you give us a ballpark? Is there some sort of redundancy that can route around the problem while it's fixed? It is unfortunate the a single-point failure of a load balancer, the thing that is meant to help keep you running on heavy loads, is what kills you completely!

Yes, we have tried to route traffic through a smaller balancer we have in Sweden but with no success so far. We have both the staff out at the facility trying to get the UPS room up again and another team in house trying with alternative solutions.

Thanks for the updates, lots of people probably worried.

Good luck on the fix.

I do not envy your tasks at hand. Can I ask that you send out a bulk email when operational again, so that we don't sit at our machines refreshing our pages over and over again.

Yes, we will send out an email as soon all services are up and running again.

Plan B with re-routing traffic seems to be a very time consuming task now when it is 10pm central european time so we are now going all in for the UPS room fix.

First of all, I apologize for using this thread to ask about delayed payouts, but simply have to, because Zombaio website is down, mail servers are down and there is no response on ICQ either. The last payment I got from Zombaio was exactly 2 months ago, in the middle of July. This month I spoke to David and Jesper several times and they assured me that money will be sent by the end of the last week. After 7 days still nothing. I was always very happy with your services, had tons of patience, but now I really need that money to pay models and other expenses.

Yes, first of all we are not late with any bulk payouts. That was just when we switched to our new bank, and it was announced. If you still have problems, there is probably something else that is wrong. Please send me your details via email so I can follow this up personally.

ShowMe69 09-16-2011 02:05 PM

I guess they are still down :disgust

Hulk 09-16-2011 02:12 PM

Have to admit, payouts were always on time for years, until you changed the bank. I would send you an email, but your server is down and emails will bounce back. So, I sent you a message on ICQ two hours ago, but you didn't respond. My ICQ # is 249-752-635 and we can talk there if you have a minute. Thanks!

Yes, just waiting for the :thumbsup from the NOC... you don't have to monitor this thread, email will be sent out direct when all services are up. But I have been promised minutes so I pass that on to you guys.

ShowMe69 09-16-2011 02:52 PM

Almost an entire day worth of signups and traffic down the drain

Cause: Broken cooling system in UPS room

Status: Still get timeouts on DNS queries to the load balancer when the services are powered up. Engineers have full prio on this and are working very hard right now to solve this.
