Dead at 49 because he couldn't afford insurance: Terrible fate of Ron Paul aide emerges hours after Republican said state shouldn't provide free health care Mr Snyder, 49, died on June 26, 2008, with hospital costs totalling $400,000 after he became ill with viral pneumonia. The bill for his care was sent to his mother, who was unable to pay, and so a website was set up by friends to secure donations. Mr Paul's election campaign did not provide workers with medical insurance. |
Haha, did Ron Paul even lift a charitable finger in this? Wouldn't be surprised if the answer was no.

Be sure to vote, cuz it matters.

He took a risk, it didn't work out. Why does someone else have to be at fault?
If he didn't have car insurance and he caused an accident that totaled another car, he would be financially responsible for it. If you can't afford insurance, move to another place where you can afford medical care should you need it. Or get a 2nd job, or maybe a better job that provides insurance for you. If you don't want to buy insurance, roll the dice and hope it all works out. Either way, it's your choice. At the end of the day you have no one to blame but yourself. The system is unfair, everyone knows that, so plan accordingly. |
you want to be in such society, what did you expect, you vote for that

$400,000 ?
Excuse me but the real problem is the lack of medical competitor. This is no concurrence at all. |

My only concern with the government providing insurance for everyone is that now doctors will see you like you're part of an assembly line.
Get in, half ass get back together, and get out. I just hope there's some sort of higher, paid tier that doctors will pay more attention to you... |
