Just read 7 of them, none are good.

Chuck Lorre should have just accepted his apology and brought him back so they could all make more ridiculous funny money. Say goodbye to the gravy train on this one. (He'll make a ton in syndication, but his attempt at a go fuck yourself to Sheen just bombed)

Rochard 09-20-2011 08:53 AM

Yeah, I tried to go in with an open mind hoping they could pull it off but it wasn't even funny.

96ukssob 09-20-2011 08:53 AM

yeah, they just fucked themselves. Sheen walks away laughing while CBS takes it in the ass.

i feel bad for that little kid because he will probably never get work again unless its on made for TV movies on the Lifetime network

Sly 09-20-2011 09:05 AM

I never cared for it with Sheen, to tell you the truth. I just didn't get what was so funny about it. It seemed like humor from 20 years ago.

bronco67 09-20-2011 09:06 AM

finally.....

Chris 09-20-2011 09:13 AM

i just watched it this morning
it was kinda strange ...like they tried too hard

pornguy 09-20-2011 09:16 AM

that little kid will never need to work again. he is already one of the highest paid

13 episode probably in season ( ... Damn ... I really feel bad for him ... :1orglaugh

L-Pink 09-20-2011 09:27 AM

He's not 18 yet I hope his parents aren't blowing it.

.

hottoddy 09-20-2011 09:33 AM

Weak.

The writers seemed to go for the easy humor and have Kutcher playing another idiot. Maybe that's all he's capable of playing, but the kid/son already plays that roll on the show. Plus, many of the "jokes" were sight gags - eg, him just walking around naked and getting surprised "hung" reactions.

It's Network TV, it's more like 20-22 episodes in a season.

CDSmith 09-20-2011 09:34 AM

It still may be okay to feel sorry for the kid. People that make that much money sometimes have (parents who have) a funny way of blowing it in a relatively short period of time. I've seen it happen way too often, so often in fact that I'm convinced that most people are
a. stupid,
and b. have no clue how to maintain their wealth once they have it.

Either way, like others said, that kid might very well have a tough time finding any meaningful work. Certainly nothing like what this show has done for him.

martinsc 09-20-2011 09:37 AM

it was ok... not as bad as I expected.... I guess I watched it with very low expectations...

L-Pink 09-20-2011 09:40 AM

This year, maybe next, then it's done.

Adam X 09-20-2011 01:09 PM

it was ok, but was never a big fan of it anyways.. just happened to catch it..
cheap attempt using nudity but wth.. ratings will dip big time when all this bs hype dies down.. not to diss, always good to see a success story.

seeandsee 09-20-2011 01:11 PM

they should now make Charlie dream this shit, and continue with old plot

CurrentlySober 09-20-2011 01:18 PM

Choopa Phil 09-20-2011 01:27 PM

exactly. it was like a corny old sitcom from the 80s.

The Porn Nerd 09-20-2011 01:44 PM

They set it up, with Rose and the closed coffin, for the entire season to be wiped away, no problem. Maybe Charlie and Rose concocted an insurance scheme, which fucks his mother in some odd way. Hehe, that came out wrong. But it's setup so Charlie can walk right back in and go 'You had a funeral for me? Who showed up?' etc etc. It's still salvageable, I'm saying.

But this first episode was really about plot points, nothing else. Answering tough plot questions like:

What do we do with the house? Can't give it to Alan cause then he'd be rich...so we'll make it so it has 3 mortgages....we need Kutcher to be rich so he can quickly come in abd buy the place (we need that set)...the whole first episode was how to cleverly (they hoped) fix the plot problems created by Sheen's eparture. The real test for this show will be how they develop the Kutcher character, and the plots they come up with moving forward.

I am not confidant.

How would you explain the fact that he was cremated and his ashes dropped all over the floor to be picked up later with a dust buster?
Not something easily done without insulting the viewers intelligence :winkwink:

I looked at it the other way. The producer hates Charlie so bad he made sure with the cremation story line that Charlie would never be written back into the show.
Their bridge has been burned beyond repair no matter how hard Charlie tries to mend it.
