Shocking Things Fox News Viewers Believe

For years the left-wing has been saying that Fox News viewers are ?uneducated? or ?misinformed?, but now a study has come out that might confirm those suspicions.

According to a new survey of Fox News viewers by Reuters, this is what Fox News viewers believe:

67% Believe Barack Obama?s name sounds suspicious.

45% Believe that homosexuals are polygamists

2% Believe that science is more important than faith

90% Believe that all of the Founding Fathers were born in the United States of America, even though it had not yet been created when the Founding Fathers were born.

56% Believe Sarah Palin went to an Ivy League Law school.

99% of Fox News viewers who were Medicare recipients said they opposed ?socialized medicine.?

94% Believe Reagan lowered the National Debt.

15% Believe that George Washington defeated the King of England in a duel for America.

88% Believe that Bill Clinton failed as a President, because of his affair with Monica Lewinsky.

75% Believe that people on welfare are lazy.

24% Believe Santa Claus is real.

36% Believe the ?Bill of Rights? is legislation introduced by the Republican Party to stop ?Barack Obama?s socialist agenda.?

99% Believe that communism, socialism, fascism and tyranny are all the same.

70% Believe Barack Obama was born in Kenya

38% Believe Barack Obama was born in Indonesia

85% Don?t think Hawaii was even a state when Barack Obama was born

76% Believe Sarah Palin has an ?Alaskan accent.?

92% Believe that Bill Clinton left Barack Obama with a surplus, which he spent.

96% Believe the economy was doing great when Barack Obama took office.

84% Believe the Tea Party is a grassroots movement without any corporate sponsorship.

94% Believe the Constitution mentions Jesus Christ as America?s savior.

23% Believe FEMA is building concentration camps.

63% Believe Glenn Beck is a healthy weight

37% Believe Nancy Pelosi is a witch, and that she can cast spells.

25% Believe Anthony Weiner?s resignation was good for the economy.

74% Believe that unemployment is higher now than it was during the Great Depression.

92% Couldn?t find Iraq on a map.

9% Believe that homosexuals are trying to take over America with glitter.

93% Couldn?t name the 7 continents.

12% Believe John Quincy Adams was a Founding Father.

99% Believe that the Government doesn?t create jobs, but 95% of those surveyed credit Governor Rick Perry (R-TX) with creating 1 million jobs as Governor of Texas.

While some of these might seem comical, the most shocking result from the study was this:

100% of Fox News viewers said they wouldn?t care if the entire country fell apart as long as Barack Obama isn?t elected to a second term.

62% of GFY's won't read all that.

I'm sure that those numbers would be similar to everybody in America overall.... and you could come up with culturally equal results all over the planet. Sad but true. They try to make it about fox news to fit their agenda, but meanwhile.... It's everywhere.

.

Tom_PM 09-21-2011 08:29 AM

Yeah. It's the same across all of America.
That has to be true, else it would sure look bad for Fox News. The logic is flawless.

Not gonna let you guys off that easy. America was smart enough NOT to elect Sarah Palin as Vice President, whereas Republicans were more then happy to support her, and still are. Pretty stupid :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

My post was sarcasm though.

I think supporters of the fox fake news network 24 hour entertainment for dummies show will twist any fact that comes along because all of their views are foregone conclusions. They believe what you tell them to believe.

For example, even after 12 years of the Bush tax cuts that supposed to help corps create jobs, there's still no fucking jobs, but they believe that cutting corp and high income earners will somehow create a job someday. They actually believe it because they're simply dumb and have no capacity to grow a new thought on their own. Being smart is being "elite" and is to be shunned. So they're told, so they believe.

Anyway, dont get me started.

It must really piss you off when you think about the fact that 100% of those folks have the right to vote and certainly won't vote for Obama. And at the same time, many states are requiring voters to show some form of ID which will absolutely cut into Obama's base.

Don't worry political discussions aren't productive in my opinion and my political opinions change so it's all good from me. I'm socially very liberal and fiscally conservative / borderline independent. Also politics are just one very small part of the whole, of most people :thumbsup

If it's a survey of Fox news viewers then "they" can't be making it fit any agenda when it comes to these:

No damn way the WHOLE country or any-way-you-slice demographic could have numbers like those.

I watch Fox sometimes. It frustrates, annoys the hell out of me - but their outright lying or twisting of reality is what just makes me turn it off.

I think one of the survey qualifying questions should have been (and maybe it was but I didn't check the link) "How much of your News do you get from Fox" or some variation to find out if this is their only information outlet or network watched for info.

:d

Joxxy 09-21-2011 10:12 AM

What's the sample size of the survey? Does the sample size constitute the total makeup of Fox News viewers?

nation-x 09-21-2011 10:13 AM

To be fair... I don't think most people can name "7" continents because we were mostly all taught 5.

Africa, America, Antarctica, Eurasia and Australia

Cherry7 09-21-2011 10:14 AM

70% Believe Barack Obama was born in Kenya

38% Believe Barack Obama was born in Indonesia

And 8% are very confused.....

babymaker 09-21-2011 10:17 AM

I'd be much more worried about what MSNBC viewers belive like

all white men should have their dicks chopped off

all women should be lesbians unless they are fucking black guys then its ok to not be les

all people should be forced to whorship freaks like chaz bono

I can come up with more lol :D

I don't know whats worse, that people on GFY think this survey is real or the liberals on FWP think its real.

MediaGuy 09-21-2011 11:39 AM

Waahaah I'm such an idjit... re-reading those I guess I realize now or should that it's satirical... but it IS a little too close to reality - I may be brainwashed about Fox to a certain extent, but Fox and Tea Party members (and people like Palin and Bachman and Perry and Romney) would tend to make me believe what we read there ... sigh.

You need to get a life BFT3K. Its getting to be a daily occurrence where you start a thread from some fake news website. You must really get a kick out of this.
It is amazing how it took 20 posts before anyone mentioned it. Seems maybe that some around here are guilty of the same things the fake survey accuses Fox news viewers of.

All this from Reuters, a news organisation that didn't feel it appropriate to use the the words "terrorism" or "terrorist" in connection with 9/11.

Also. Faced with the questions, Are gays are trying to take over America with glitter? or Is Santa Claus real? I'd have a good laugh and tick yes to both. Ask a dumb question, you'll get a dumb answer - and it won't automatically be a truthful one.

Ask me if I think any given politician is a witch and all you've done is indicate the direction of your bias and at that point I'm no longer giving a fuck.

Ask a series of idiotic questions with a few real questions randomly sprinkled in the mix and what are the chances of considered answers to ANY of the questions?

"Fox News viewers who were Medicare recipients said they opposed ?socialized medicine."" This makes a bit more sense than at first sight. We have socialised medical care in the UK and as someone who'd been in reciept of it, I can tell you without hesitation I wish I been allowed to KEEP the tax money and instead pay for it myself. It may not be a totally fair comparison, but when 99 percent of people aren't impressed with a free service THEY'VE USED, I would worry a bit. You might not like either when it's your turn.

That 8%. Maybe what they were saying by voting twice in the only way the badly framed questions would allow was, I dunno where he was born, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't the USA.

Sorry, but it's a piss poor survey designed to make Fox viewers look stupid. In fact all it does is makes the questioner look biased and amateurish.

The single thing I like best about about Fox; that it drives lefties nuts.

Now go fix your atlases and leave Fox alone. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011...-greenland-map Maybe we can't find Iraq on a map, but I bet it was some anti science Foxy denier types who went and looked at the satellite photos when told that 15% of the Greenland glaciers had dissappeared.

Normally satirical stories are clearly phony and easy to identify, but in this case it is very easy to believe most of the list, because a lot of the list is actually true! When you think about how fucking stupid and gullible most FOX zombies really are, satire is hardly needed to make fun of them.

Another funny joke could simply be...

Q: What channel do most idiotic, brainwashed, douche bags watch?

A: Fox News!

See? FOX viewers ARE the joke! :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh
