What alternative membership payment methods do you like?
 

What alternative payment methods do you find useful for membership sales? I know some folks are credit card only. I've always found accepting checks to be worthwhile. I'm not sure that phone billing or UK Cash are exceptionally useful, although I do accept them.

Which options do you think are valuable to have?

Yes, surprisingly there are some people out there that use UKash. Its also used for gambling and the like, so perhaps they buy some vouchers for both uses. However UKash itself is interesting to deal with, so I switched it over to Epoch who have it as a billing option. With a tag tweak or two you can send people to a UKash only Epoch page, the others send elsewhere as normal.

Phone billing, you mean where they call up and hang on, not so good, pretty rubbish nowadays, using SMS billing, awesome and climbing. Using wap/web payforit even better.

Might try Premium bonds next.

I agree with that with the exception that the "phone billing" part, depending on the country it converts very well.

Here is a few countries that all convert less than 1:15 on 24 hour unique display of the phone number:

Belgium, France, Saudi Arabia, Saint Kitts, Ireland, Jamaica, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, Netherlands, South Africa and Germany.

Yeah, I use it via Epoch. I also emailed my previous members to see if anyone wanted to pay with it, but didn't get a lot of response. Of course, those were previous members who had already used some other form of payment.
