I've seen them from southern Scotland before heading across to Ireland but it's not as strong. Would love to take a trip farther north to catch them properly.

That's fucking amazing...

When we went out to Finland and seen them they told you a few stories about what they think they are.. And the one they say explains it the most is the Sun gives off hundreds of millions of particles a day and because of the magnetic fields from the north pole they are attracted to it.. The colours are the particles hitting our atmosphere they said hydrogen oxygen etc all give off different colours sometime the lights are pink and blue but green is the most common..
