this mathematically proves how bad your taste in movies is.. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/drive_2011/

If 93% of ALL critics disagree with you? You are doing it wrong...

It could prove how correct he is, because many of the so called critics on Rotten Tomatoes couldn't review their way out of a paper bag.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1260694/
more so the viewers ratings here tell the tale..
"worst film ever made" :1orglaugh

what is it with all these people stuck in boxes kinds of films lately.
two other movies about a guy stuck in a box/coffin just came out including that movie with Ryan Reynolds where he's a contractor in Iraq buried alive in a coffin in the desert.
of course it makes budgeting a movie that much easier.
50 dollars for the box.
100 dollars for craft services.
1 million dollars for actor :1orglaugh

Oops sorry, wrong movie. Trunk looks like shit, Drive could be at least watchable.

Is anyone locked in a trunk or buried in a coffin in the film;)

so why is Drive such a bad movie in your opinion?

other than the actors you mentioned.

garce 09-28-2011 11:43 AM

Ever since my wife forced me to watch The Notebook, I can't even look at Ryan Gosling without gagging. He's got to be one of the worst actors on the face of the planet.

cooldude7 09-28-2011 11:49 AM

damn it you brassmonkey, i was planning to watch it by paying .....
and mind it i rarely pay to watch movies.

Cult classics are usually horrible (not always).

Drive was probably one of the best movies I've seen in quite some time. Saw it in the theater on the day it came out. Beautifully shot, wonderfully written, and great acting.

It's a movie that requires you to 1) pay attention and to 2) have patience. The writer and director asks a lot from the audience. A lot of what's going on goes unsaid. So watching it in a movie theater is ideal.

Of course when a person (not you CandyFlip) downloads the DVDSCRNR (then simultaneously cry about the theft of porn) and watches it from their 20" television while simultaneosly on their laptop trolling Facebook - your mileage may vary.

anexsia 09-28-2011 01:50 PM

I thought it was pretty good.

If you think Transformers 3 was the greatest movie ever - then this is not for you.

If you think the The Godfather 2 was the greatest movie ever - this might be up your alley.

xNetworx 09-28-2011 01:55 PM

Anybody seen Moneyball?

Cult Classic in that it won't find its following until well after it is out of the theatres.

There were already 2 threads proclaiming how awesome the movie was.

You're like my sister in law's boyfriend. That dude tries to criticize movies all the time -- he hates Goodfellas and Fight Club for these weird reasons, but when you look at his DVD shelf its full of movies like Night at the Roxbury, Waterboy and Stepbrothers.

Let's see a list of some of your favorites.

bronco67 09-28-2011 05:32 PM

To anyone that likes Drive, check out the director's other flicks. He always makes a decent movie.

:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh and that's why so many shit movies are released nowadays. I don't care to much for Ryan Goslin but I had to admit Drive was good. They turned it into a kind of independent movie along the way of creating it I believe.

PornStarToys 09-28-2011 08:45 PM

79% of viewers liked it. Sounds good enough for me.

Seen Drive the other day, and yes it was crap. What was up with the whole focus on the dude for 30 seconds shit and all that, man you can't get ya 2hrs of life back from this dud.

rock-reed 09-28-2011 11:02 PM

The cinematography was amazing. The soundtrack was amazing. It reminded me of so many things from classics like Vanishing Point, Miami Vice.. and the main character was like Burt Reynolds and Clint Eastwood hybrid.

I admit the lovey dovey scenes had me a little worried in the beginning but I really, really liked this movie.

CurrentlySober 09-29-2011 04:22 AM

Lykos 09-29-2011 04:29 AM
